He is remembered now mostly for his more explicit work, but many of his songs are very ironic and some contain clever, albeit unpolished, social commentary. Norstedt also recorded serious rockabilly songs with a distinct 1950s flavour in his own studio, called Studio Ronka (ronka referring to runka, which is Swedish slang for masturbation). He played most of the instruments himself. He often got bad reviews from the press, notably Expressen journalist Mats Olsson, to which Norstedt replied by writing even more offensive songs, such as Kuken står på Mats Olsson (Mats Olsson's got a hard-on). He reportedly said that no matter what he did it was never good enough for the critics.
Despite this he was considered an accomplished musician and songwriter, in particular by Swedish record company executive Bert Karlsson who, with mixed results, tried to foster that talent in Norstedt. He never had a major breakthrough and this is commonly attributed to his increasingly obscene songwriting. According to himself, he developed alcoholism in the late 1970s during periods of intensive touring. After collapsing on his way to a show he changed his lifestyle completely. He sobered up and started working out. However, despite his efforts the years of alcohol abuse eventually took their toll and he passed away in his home. He was survived by his wife and children.
Every Little Piece
Eddie Meduza Lyrics

By and by are turning back on you
Every little simple sin you′re making
Someday will come back and hurt you too
Have you thought about the way you're living
You really are too change it if you could
′Cause life will always pay back what you're giving
Every little piece of heart you taking
By and by are turning back on you
Every little simple sin you′re making
Someday will come back and hurt you too
Every time you hurt somebody badly
An other piece of trouble you collect
And if it should be he loves you madly
An other heart that never will forget
Every little piece of heart you taking
By and by are turning back on you
Every little simple sin you're making
Someday will come back and hurt you too
Every little piece of heart you taking
By and by are turning back on you
Every little simple sin you′re making
Yes every piece of heart you breaking
Every little sin you're making
Someday will come back and hurt you too
In Eddie Meduza's song "Every Little Piece," the lyrics discuss the idea of karma and how our actions and behaviors can come back to haunt us. The song opens with the line "Every little piece of heart you taking, by and by are turning back on you," which can be interpreted as a warning to those who repeatedly take advantage of others or engage in selfish, cruel behavior. The next line, "Every little simple sin you're making, someday will come back and hurt you too," reinforces this message and suggests that even seemingly small transgressions can have consequences down the line.
As the song continues, Meduza urges listeners to consider their behavior and to make changes if necessary. "Have you thought about the way you're living?" he asks. "You really ought to change it if you could." He reminds us that life will always "pay back" what we're giving, whether it's good or bad. This idea of cause and effect is a central tenet of karma, which posits that our actions have a direct impact on our future experiences.
The final verse also touches on the theme of love and how our actions can affect others. "Every time you hurt somebody badly, another piece of trouble you collect," Meduza sings. "And if it should be he loves you madly, another heart that never will forget." This suggests that even those we love and care for can be hurt by our actions, and that such pain can have long-lasting effects.
Overall, "Every Little Piece" serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of behaving ethically and treating others with kindness and respect. It is a reminder that our actions have consequences, and that we must be mindful of how we treat those around us.
