Let Go
Edison Glass Lyrics

She knew, it seemed
That sound, that song was troubling me
Do tell
No, no, no
Please, sir
Here we go
Sleepwalking, sleep, sleepwalking
Last night, I awoke to an opera house full of empty seats
Performing Einstein on the beach
You've stifled this too long and the dream inside is far too strong
You've got to, got to, learn to let go, let go
Open your lips
Let out a song
Open your heart
And let it sing
Open your lips
Let out a song
Open your heart
And let it sing
Hey, let go
Hey, let go
The lyrics to Edison Glass's song Let Go reflect a theme of letting go of fear and self-doubt to pursue one's dreams. The first two lines of the song refer to a woman passing by the singer, who seems to sense that the singer is troubled by something. The lyrics then shift to a dream the singer had about performing in an empty opera house while singing Einstein on the Beach. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been holding back their dream for too long and needs to let go of their fear and self-doubt in order to pursue it.
The repetition of "Open your lips, let out a song, open your heart and let it sing" reinforces the theme of the song, encouraging the listener to let go of their fear and self-censorship and pursue their dreams. The phrase "Hey, let go" at the end of the song serves as a final reminder to the listener to let go of their inhibitions and take a leap of faith.
Overall, the lyrics to Edison Glass's song Let Go encourage listeners to push past their fears and doubts to pursue their dreams. Through the story of the singer's dream and the repetition of the phrase "open your lips, let out a song", the song emphasizes the importance of expressing oneself and taking risks in order to live a fulfilling life.

I've been listening to Edison Glass for a long time. They have to be the most underrated band I've ever listen to. How can such great musical talent go unheard of? I loved the first album but Time Is Fiction really made me realize that people need to know about this band. Along with that, they need new music. I WANT MORE!
