Food
Eggs & Dogs Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hello is anyone home?
Sigh, I guess I'll try again
Hm, seems like no one's home
I suppose I'll try another bell
Ah, alright
Okay y'know what
I'm just gonna go ahead and knock on the door
What's the worst that could happen right
Okay it's just- it's just knocking on the door
How hard could it be
Alright okay, here we go
Sigh, still no answer
Okay y'know what? Fuck it
What if I just
Ding Dong
You fucking inconsiderate whore
Why won't you open the fucking door
I'm just trying to deliver your fucking grabfood order

Fuck yourself
You stupid fucking whore

Overall Meaning

In these lyrics from Eggs & Dogs's song "Food," the singer is seemingly frustrated and exasperated by a series of unsuccessful attempts to make a delivery. The narrative begins with the singer trying to reach someone at a residence by ringing the doorbell, but there is no response. The repetition of the actions conveys a sense of increasing impatience and annoyance on the part of the singer.

As the singer continues their futile attempts to make contact, their frustration grows. The dismissal of politeness and formality ("What's the worst that could happen right") reflects a shift towards a more aggressive and confrontational approach. The transition from a sigh to a direct knock on the door signifies a heightened sense of urgency and impatience, as the singer becomes increasingly exasperated with the lack of response.

The turning point in the lyrics comes with the expletive-laden outburst directed at the absent recipient of the delivery. The sudden shift from resignation to anger highlights the emotional build-up and escalating tension experienced by the singer. The use of profanity serves to underscore the intensity of the frustration and the sense of feeling unappreciated or disrespected by the person on the other side of the door.

Ultimately, the lyrics convey a sense of powerlessness and indignation on the part of the singer, who feels ignored and unacknowledged in their attempts to fulfill their delivery responsibilities. The aggressive outburst at the end of the lyrics reveals a breaking point, where patience and civility give way to raw emotion and frustration. The song captures a moment of interpersonal conflict and the challenges of communication and connection in daily interactions.

I make eggs for my dogs, and they love it! It definitely makes their coats shinier and softer. Then I needed a way to get an anemic dog to eat pumpkin puree and turmeric (for health reasons), but he wasnt having any of it, completely refused to eat any pumpkin. So I mixed it all up into a scrambled egg with some seasoning, serve it warm, and he LOVES it.

@KtCleansAlot thnx man :)

@Mohammad Salah I use one egg a day for each dog.

Mohammad Salah

@KtCleansAlot how many eggs per day ?

KtCleansAlot

@Mohammad Salah I scramble the eggs so they're mostly cooked/slightly runny. But raw egg is completely safe from what I understand. My dogs really love a nice warm meal, they get so excited for lunch. Plus I think scrambling the eggs helps mix in all the flavors from everything I add to their meal (like turmeric, parsley, pumpkin, a few other things). I scramble it all together and serve warm. They love it!

Raw or cooked better ?
