Ecio Parreira and Rio had to find just the right singers for their bossa-lounge arrangements. So they advertised. They got more than 120 demos from all over.
They listened to all of the auditions. Parreira and Rio chose three -- all women. Chloe was one of them. She was born in New York and lives in Geneva.
One of the other singers on "What a Difference" is a woman who calls herself Mars. She sings lead on three tracks, including "I Can't Keep My Eyes Off of You."
The CD also includes new arrangements of songs by Donna Summer, Earth, Wind and Fire, and Irene Cara.
Dancing Queen
Eldissa Lyrics

Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
The night is young and the music′s high
Everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat
From the tambourine
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Uh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Dig in the dancing queen
You′re a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you′re gone
Looking out for another
Anyone will do
You′re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat
From the tambourine
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Uh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Dig in the dancing queen
Uh, dancing queen
Hey that girl
Uh, dig in the dancing queen
The lyrics to Eldissa's song "Dancing Queen" capture the essence of youthful exuberance and liberation through dance. The song portrays a Friday night setting, where the lights are low, and people are searching for a place to go, where they can enjoy the right music and get into the swing of things. The lyrics suggest that anyone can be the person to make the night memorable, as the night is young and the music is vibrant and uplifting, creating an atmosphere where everything feels fine.
The song highlights the joy of dancing and being in the mood for a dance. It emphasizes the freedom of expression that dancing brings, encouraging listeners to seize the opportunity to let loose and enjoy themselves. The lyrics also touch upon the fleeting nature of these experiences, as the dancer is described as a teaser, turning people on and leaving them burning, only to move on to someone else. The dancing queen is represented as a figure that captivates others, and her allure and energy are evident as she ignites a scene and leaves a lasting impression.
Overall, "Dancing Queen" is a celebration of the power of music and dance to uplift spirits, bring people together, and create magical moments of joy and freedom.
