A wolf in sheep's clothing. Six of the most sought-after musicians on the french musical scene. Since 2001, Electro Deluxe have evolved from their early electro-jazz sound to a energetic cocktail of dirty soul & funk with a touch of class.
After ten years of criss-crossing the globe (China, India, Canada, Mexico, Europe) and performing at some of the most prestigious festivals (Montréal Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne, Cervantino, Solidays), Electro Deluxe celebrate their tenth anniversary with the release of the double album Live in Paris, recorded with the full artillery of their Big Band.
A reservoir of musical talent, and inspired by the mythical “Funk Brothers” of Motown lore, Electro Deluxe work as studio musicians for among others, Universal & Motown recording artists, Ben Oncle Soul and Hocus Pocus, who have equally participated on our records.
At the heart of the groove scene and with the ability to cross-over into other genres, Electro Deluxe have enjoyed modest success in their hometown of Paris, France, with each of their last 2 albums topping the jazz charts in France while performing entirely in English.
More Deluxe than Electro, and not bound to any one musical reference, they continue to push the boundaries of their music.
Members of Electro Deluxe include:
Arnaud Renaville: drums
Jérémie Coke: bass
Thomas Faure: saxophone
Vincent Payen: trumpet
James Copley: vocals
Gael Cadoux: keyboards

Show you a new dance
So I'm gonna twist her
She's twistin all over faint
You put your hands on your hips
And a kiss on your lips
Do your little daddy like this?
Talking about the Twister
Twistin day and night
Showing you the Twister
Twistin left to the right
You put your hands on your hips
And a kiss on your lips
And do your little daddy like this?
Round and round
And round she goes
How she's chasing?
Now nobody knows
Shake your hips
And twist with me
You're just doin like you don't care
So baby come here will see!
Talking about the Twister
(Twist Her)
Showin you the Twister
(oooh talkin about it, talkin about it)
Show you i got game
(you know i'm a no man but i got game)
Showin you the Twister
(oooh tell me more, tell me more)
Me, no havin shame
(and you never ever be the same)
You put your hands on your hips
And a kiss on your lips
And do your little daddy like this?
Round and round
And round she goes
How she's chasing?
Now nobody knows
Shake your hips
And twist with me
You're just doin like you don't care
So baby come here will see!
Talking about the Twister!
Shake those hips and clap your hands
Shake those hips then clap those hands
Shake those hips and clap your hands
And when you're movin like that
Don't move to fast
Not talking about speed
You have to make it last
(Come on! Girl!)
(You got the Shakin!)
You got the shakin
You got the twistin
You gotta shake it
Shake it
Shake it
Shake it Waaah!(Everybody!)
Round and round
And round she goes (gottta gotta shake it!)
How she's chasing?
Now nobody knows (i don't even know!)
Shake your hips
And twist with me
You're just doin like you don't care
So baby come here will see!
Round and round
And round she goes (gottta gotta shake it!)
How she's chasing?
Now nobody knows (i don't even know!)
Shake your hips
And twist with me
You're just doin like you don't care
So baby come here will see!
Talking about the Twister!
The lyrics to Electro Deluxe's song Twist Her tell the story of a new dance craze called the Twister. The song is upbeat and encourages listeners to dance along with the catchy rhythm. The lyrics also suggest that the dance is quite seductive and that the main character of the song is trying to impress a woman with his dancing skills. The line "put your hands on your hips and a kiss on your lips" hints at a romantic undertone.
The song also suggests that the dance move is easy to do - "you're just doing like you don't care" - but at the same time requires a level of skill and coordination to master. The line "not talking about speed, you have to make it last" suggests that the Twister is not just a quick, flashy move, but rather a sustained and controlled motion.
Throughout the song, the lyrics emphasize the fun and excitement of the Twister - "showing you the Twister, twistin' day and night". The repetition of the word "twist" creates a sense of momentum and energy, encouraging listeners to join in the fun.

This is unbelievably fantastic!!! Where has your band been all of my life?!!! You know whose voice would sound fantastic with your brassy/saxy big band - Anna Graceman. Like velvet over iron, a great mix.
