This was followed by keyboards and at the age of 14 she started playing drums in a cover band. After school she was supposed to complete an apprenticeship as a milliner. On the advice of friends, she decided to devote herself to music. Elen began her career as a street musician at the age of 17. Success soon came. Her fan base grew and she was able to earn a living with music. Interviews in various newspapers and appearances on radio stations such as RBB and Radio Berlin 88.8 soon followed. In 2011, she was discovered by a scout from the television show The Voice Of Germany (season 1), who persuaded Elen to take part in the show. She impressed all four judges with her version of the Cyndi Lauper song “Time After Time”. However, she was later eliminated in the “Battle” of the first season. Now other TV channels also became aware of Elen. This was followed by appearances on ZDFtivi, on the ZDF morning magazine and on the drehscheibe (TV show) – also ZDF. She sang the title song "Will You Love Me In December" for the film Patong Girl. This song was awarded "Best Song" at the Transgender Film Festival Awards 2015.

Appearances at “Inas Nacht” and Marius Müller-Westernhagen followed in October 2015.

In order to remain independent of the major labels for the time being and to fulfill her dream of having her own album, Elen decided to finance it through crowdfunding. The desired amount was not raised within a relatively short period of time, but it was enough to produce the album "Elen" with 12 songs and a single of the song "Nobody Else". When you bought the album, €1 went to the children's charity "die Arche".

Elen is an ambassador for the Federal Children's Hospice Association and supports the children's aid organization Die Arche
