What If
Elephant Kind Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Did you ever ask to be the person that you are right now
Look back and think again
If this is what you wanted
Then this is it
But if you ever wanted more
We all have a good reason to live
And to love was never once a bad intention
So tell me how could it be a mistake when you feel... love"
The lyrics of Elephant Kind's song "What If" urges the listener to take a moment to reflect on their life choices and consider what they truly desire. The opening lines ask if we ever asked to be who we are today, encouraging us to contemplate our present circumstances and whether they align with our true desires. The chorus affirms that if we are content with our lives, then that is enough. However, if there is a nagging feeling of wanting more, then we should pursue it, as we all have a reason to live and love.
The song seems to be a call to action, urging the listener to not settle for a life that does not fulfill them. It acknowledges that love can never be a mistake and offers hope to those who may feel lost or unfulfilled. The upbeat melody and catchy chorus encourage us to take action and pursue our dreams, reminding us that we deserve to live a life of satisfaction and love.
