And the way it used to sting
Forget my poor decisions
The fact we broke our rule of supervision
On that California King
Tell me do you think about me
Like I think about you
Do you think about me at night
Do you think about me
When it's hard to sleep
Me? Instead of counting sheep
Do I make it hard to sleep sweetly
When I'm in your mind completely
Do you think about me
When it's dark outside
Me? When there's no upside
No prince or shining knight
It's just poison from your snake bite
Do you think about me
Do you think about me
I know I shouldn't want it
I hate the fact I do
Maybe a little bad can be a little good
To take my heart and teach it a cruel truth
Tell me do you think about me
Like I think about you
Do you think about me at night
Are my footprints pressed on your mind
Do you think about me
When it's hard to sleep
Me? Instead of counting sheep
Do I make it hard to sleep sweetly
When I'm in your mind completely
Do you think about me
When it's dark outside
Me? When there's no upside
No prince or shining knight
It's just poison from your snake bite
Do you think about me
Do you think about me
And I know that it'll never work
Coz I'm a bitch and you're a jerk
But we'll always have that night in Malibu
A night is better than forever without you
Do you think about me
When it's hard to sleep
Me? Instead of counting sheep
Do I make it hard to sleep sweetly
When I'm in your mind completely
Do you think about me
When it's dark outside
Me? When there's no upside
No prince or shining knight
It's just poison from your snake bite
Do you think about me
Do you think about me
The lyrics of Eliza's song "Something About You" revolve around the longing and thoughts of a person for someone they are trying to forget. The singer acknowledges their poor decisions and the fact that they broke their own rules to be with this person. The mention of a "California King" suggests a significant and intimate moment shared between them. Despite trying to move on, the singer wonders if the other person thinks about them as much as they think about them, especially during the difficult moments when sleep is elusive. The singer questions if their presence in the other person's mind hinders their ability to sleep peacefully. They ponder whether the thought of them lingers in the darkness and if they are missed when there seems to be no hope or joy in life. The lyrics suggest a sense of loneliness, acknowledging that the relationship may never work due to contrasting personalities, described as "a bitch and a jerk." However, the singer still cherishes a memorable night they shared in Malibu, recognizing that even a single night together is better than forever without each other. Despite the pain and toxicity implied by the "poison from your snake bite," the singer still wonders if the other person thinks about them.

Like I think about you
As frequently as I ponder about you
Do you think about me at night
Are thoughts of me present in your nights
Do you think about me
Do thoughts of me arise in your mind
When it's hard to sleep
When sleep becomes elusive
Me? Instead of counting sheep
For me? Instead of counting sheep for relaxation
Do I make it hard to sleep sweetly
Am I the cause of restless nights
When I'm in your mind completely
When thoughts of me consume your entire consciousness
When it's dark outside
During the nighttime hours
Me? When there's no upside
For me? When there are no positive aspects

And I know that it'll never work
And I am aware that it will never succeed
Coz I'm a bitch and you're a jerk
Because I am difficult and you are unpleasant
But we'll always have that night in Malibu
Nevertheless, we will forever cherish that evening in Malibu
A night is better than forever without you
A momentary night is preferable to an eternity without you
