How faint the tune
Somewhere there's heaven
How high the moon
There is no moon above
When love is far away too
Till it comes true
That you love me as I love you
Somewhere there's music
How near, how far
Somewhere there's heaven
It's where you are
The darkest night would shine
If you would come to me soon
Until you will, how still my heart
How high the moon
Somewhere there's music
How faint the tune
Somewhere there's heaven
How high the moon
The darkest night would shine
If you would come to me soon
Until you will, how still my heart
How high the moon
The song "How High the Moon" is a romantic ballad that speaks about the strength and persistence of love. The lyrics begin by stating that there is music and heaven somewhere waiting for the two lovers. The singer seems to believe that love is an eternal force that transcends time and space. Even when the lovers are apart, the hope for a bright future keeps them going.
The second stanza further elaborates on the longing that the singer and the lover have for each other. The darkest night becomes illuminated when the other person is near. Love fills the emptiness in the heart and makes everything seem possible. The singer implores the lover to come back soon, as their absence makes the heart still and motionless. The hope that they will be reunited seems to be the only thing that keeps the singer going.
Overall, the song is an ode to true love and its ability to overcome all obstacles. The melody and lyrics are beautiful and heartfelt, conveying a depth of emotion that is both touching and inspiring.

Somewhere there’s music
I’ll fake the toon
Somewhere there’s heaven
How high the moon
There is no love when love is far away too
Till it comes true that you love me as I love you
Somewhere there’s heaven
It’s where you are
Somewhere there’s music
I knew how far
The darkest night would shine if you would come to me soon
Until you will I’ll steal my heart

Incredible that she IS "still in tune" after an extended, a capella solo, and comes right in on the perfect starting note of "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes". No modern devices, no earpiece, no auto-tune, no cheating! THAT is singing.

Yes thats what I would, thank you, it's amazing.

It’s called perfect pitch you idiot

Notice the folk-singer style hand on ear.

Earpiece isn't cheating. It's only used when the venue is very large and you can't hear yourself
@minigrok
Not exactly, she is being cued. The pianist plays a very discreet Ab in 5:29 just in case. Then he looks the other way just to pretend he didn't "cheat". Ella is perfectly in tune anyway. Amazing.

This womans voice truly is an instrument. What a naturally talented woman. No auto tune, no over dubs, no ridiculous dance moves, so real. Coupled with just a great band.
