Get Back Up
Emarosa Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When I get back up
I promise you I could be great
When I get back up
I promise you I won't be the same
So I hit that drum to my beat
And I get back onto my feet
When I get back up
I promise you, promise you
(When I get back up)

Hard times, it's a good fight
I got knocked down for the last time
Is there anybody else out there
Feeling like I'm feeling?
Maybe life's not fair
Hard times and it's not right
I got knocked down, but I'm just fine
If there's anybody else out there
Feeling like I'm feeling
Let it go

When I get back up
I promise you I could be great
When I get back up
I promise you I won't be the same
So I hit that drum to my beat
And I get back onto my feet
When I get back up
I promise you, promise you
(When I get back up)

Tough times, been a rough ride
I'm always down for the upside
Is there anybody else out there
Feeling like I'm feeling?
Maybe life's not fair
Tough times, it's a good fight
I live my life with a black eye
If there's anybody else out there
Feeling like I'm feeling?
Let it go

When I get back up
I promise you I could be great
When I get back up
I promise you I won't be the same
So I hit that drum to my beat
And I get back onto my feet
When I get back up
I promise you, promise you
(When I get back up)

When I get back up, when I get back up
(When I get back up)
When I get back up, when I get back up

When I get back up
I promise you I could be great
When I get back up
I promise you I won't be the same
So I hit that drum to my beat
And I get back onto my feet
When I get back up
I promise you, promise you
(When I get back up)

When I get back up, when I get back up
(When I get back up)
When I get back up, when I get back up
(When I get back up)

When I get back up, when I get back up
(When I get back up)

My mother & I went thru so much together. Between a bio "dad" that was abusive to boyfriends that were the same way. She ended up marrying the man that adopted me & treats me as his own. Ma passed away 5 years ago & when I watch this video or hear the song I instantly think of her. Love you Ma.

@danielsanford9083

I didn't think Emarosa was capable of making something so bizarre and amazing at the same time.

@ThePhantomKingX

It's really interesting. I'm digging it.

@@ThePhantomKingX 110% makes up for the disappointment that was Blink-182's new song

@ThePhantomKingX

@@danielsanford9083 see that's what my friends were saying. I just listened to it. Now it's not a banger. But I think it's a pretty chill song. Not the greatest but I enjoyed it.
