I'll Just Wait
Emarosa Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I can be the way you wanted me to be
But you're leaving and I miss you, you know
You could be the mountains, I could be the sea
'Cause I've been tearing us apart but I miss you, you know

Talking in your sleep when you're all alone
Waiting on me to come back home
I can see you walking far away
I don't know how
So I'll just wait

Are you happy?
Are you happier?
Yeah, you know me, all the years I've been around
And the fears that you found out
I'm still waiting

I was half a man, you needed one that's whole
But I was giving everything 'cause I miss you, you know

Talking in your sleep when you're all alone
Waiting on me to come back home
I can see you walking far away
I don't know why

Are you happy?
Are you happier?
Yeah, you know me, all the years I've been around
And the fears that you found out
I'm still waiting

You believe in faith and I believe in truth
But I'm praying 'cause I miss you, I do
I'm talking in your sleep when you're all alone
Waiting on me to come back home

I can see you walking far away, I don't know why
So I'll just wait

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Emarosa's song "I'll Just Wait" are a bittersweet reflection on a past relationship. The song opens with the lines "I can be the way you wanted me to be, but you're leaving and I miss you, you know". This establishes the singer's willingness to change themselves for their partner, but also highlights the impending loss they are about to face. The chorus reinforces this sentiment, as the singer is "just waiting" for their partner to return, even if it seems unlikely.

The second verse reveals more about the state of the relationship, with lines such as "I was half a man, you needed one that's whole, but I was giving everything 'cause I miss you, you know". This suggests that the singer was aware of their shortcomings, but still tried to give as much as they could in the relationship. The bridge of the song contrasts the singer's belief in truth with their partner's faith, but ultimately reveals that they still pray and miss their partner.

The final lines of the song, "So I'll just wait", carry a sense of resignation and acceptance. The singer is acknowledging that their partner may never return, but they are still holding on to the hope that they will. Overall, "I'll Just Wait" is a poignant exploration of love, loss, and the complicated emotions that can arise from a broken relationship.

Puedo ser tal y como quieres que sea
Pero te vas y te echo de menos, ya lo sabes.
Podrías ser las montañas,
yo podría ser el mar,
Porque he estado separándonos
Pero te echo de menos, ya lo sabes
Hablando en sueños cuando estás sola
Esperando a que yo llegue a casa.
Puedo ver como te alejas caminando.
No sé cómo,
Así que simplemente voy a esperar.
Voy a esperar.
Voy a esperar.

This song has so much emotion and well written, the progression the band has made is a positive step forward.

ficou muito boa a musica

I don't know anyone I am

Bradley Walden on their track I'll just wait:
"This song was written in about five minutes. I stepped into the vocal booth, started singing and broke down. This is by far the most emotional track on the record for me. Essentially, I rambled in the studio, the lyrics were immediate, and remain unchanged. There’s such a raw emotion in it. It’s simply about losing a love—the love—and waiting to get it back".

Emarosa is such a beautiful band. Versus is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. I feel like Bradley was the perfect addition to this band. I love them all over again. Back when I first heard them when I was 14 and now that I'm 21, this is just perfect. I can't even describe how much growth they've had over the years.

Awesome song

Madame Medusad

I'm a Jonny Craig fan but I fell in love with this new sound. The only thing that I will miss about them is the energic letters they used to make. I like the way they evolve. Everything's taking a place; Jonny/Slaves Bradley/Emarosa Tilian/DGD and it's totally working out.

it's all good

Every song on this album is a masterpiece.

In my opinion this is one of, if not, the best album of 2014 so far. I love their new sound. Not just Bradley, but the whole band. Bradley has this on point. But did you know the Miss Fortune vocalist tried out for this band and didn't make it? Imagine how different Emarosa would've sounded. I'm happy he didn't make it though. Miss Fortune signed to Sumerian and put out a masterpiece, and Emarosa did the same.

Give a Nobel to this man, please.
