1) Emmi Kangasjärvi is a Finnish singer-songwriter who sings in English. She was born on October 10, 1979 in Vilppula, Finland. She became famous thanks to her single Breakable, which was released in February 2001. In May 2001 her second single Crashing Down and her debut album Solitary Motions were released. Two other quite well known songs from that album are Green Car and Solitary Motions. She was nominated as the Best Nordic Act by MTV Europe Music Awards in 2001. However, the award was won by the Danish band Safri Duo.
There are two versions of Emmi's second album No Nothing. The first one was released only for Finnish market in October 2002. The second one was released for international as well as Finnish market in early 2003. The differences between the versions are the order of songs and the fact that the second version contains two tracks that are not contained in the first version, namely Into The World and World Is Crazy. Conversely, the song Toss Me Down is contained in the first version but not in the second one.
The single Eileen was released in 2005. On October 5, 2005, Emmi's third album Can Full of Joy was released.
2) Emily Joy Green, known by her stage name Emmi, is a British-Australian singer and songwriter.
Emily Green was born in Torquay, Devon, England, the middle child of an older brother and a younger sister. The daughter of a pilot, she travelled extensively as a very young child, living in far flung places such as Papua New Guinea and Alice Springs. Moving school nine times before settling in Perth, Australia, Emmi got used to feeling like the outsider and began to focus on her love of dancing, and left home at the age of 16 to study dance full-time in Sydney.
Green began her musical career after being signed to a music publisher in Australia, writing songs for Neil Davidge of Massive Attack and Little Nikki.
Green cites classical music, jazz and Shirley Temple movies as her influences.

Emmi Lyrics

Honeysuckle
Strangers, strange this
Lights from pages
Paper thin thing
Protected by the naked eye
Pearly sunrise
Kneeling like a supplicant
Darkened skin
Afraid to see
Radiate
Open lips
Keep smiling for me
Darkened skin
Afraid to see
Radiate
Open lips
Keep smiling for me
Weightless cool
Honeysuckle
Fair skin freckles
Uncut teeth
Tranquil eyes
Bite my lips
Bite my lips
Shh
Under your feet
In the song "60 Minutes" by Emmi, the lyrics are poetic and cryptic, making it challenging to derive their meaning. The song starts with "Weightless falls, honeysuckle, strangers, strange this, lights from pages, paper-thin thing, protected by the naked eye, pearly sunrise." This could be interpreted as falling into something weightless and carefree, surrounded by honeysuckle, but feeling like a stranger in a world that seems strange. The use of "lights from pages" is perhaps a nod to books or literature, with the idea of a "paper-thin thing" that is protected from scrutiny by being locked away behind the cloak of the naked eye. The "pearly sunrise" could represent a new beginning or a glimmer of hope.
As the song progresses, it seems to touch on themes of fear and anxiety, with references to "nearly worn" and "darkened skin" and an apparent fear of looking at something, despite radiating and keeping a smile on. The lyrics "Weightless cool, honeysuckle, fair skin freckles, uncut teeth, tranquil eyes, bite my lips, bite my lips, shh, under your feet" may be alluding to someone feeling small or insignificant in the presence of another, biting their lips as a sign of nervousness or apprehension.
Overall, the lyrics in "60 Minutes" are thought-provoking and multi-layered. The use of rich imagery and symbolism leaves the listener to decide their own interpretation of the song.
