Following the release of their first album "Believo!" in 2000, Calhoon left the band, and was replaced by Toko Yasuda on vocals and bass, and Matt Schulz on drums; with this line up, Enon released "High Society" in 2002.
Lee left the band, and Enon went on to release "Hocus Pocus" in 2003, and a collection of rare material entitled "Lost Marbles and Exploded Evidence" was released in 2005.
Enon performed on an October 2008 episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! titled "Robot".
In a May 2011 interview, after touring with Caribou for a good portion of 2010 and 2011, Schmersal confirmed the band "is pretty much over" with no plans to follow up on Grass Geysers...Carbon Clouds.
In 2011 and 2012, Toko Yasuda toured as a member of St. Vincent playing synth. She also released the album Parthenon under the name Plvs Vltra. Parthenon is her first solo album which features collaborations with Danny Ray Thompson of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Scott Allen of Thunderbirds Are Now!, Thomas Keville of Man Man, and John Schmersal, also of Enon, who produced the album.

For The Sum of It
Enon Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I don't know why the numbers don't comply
They're only interested in going by.
They're playing along has my bills numbers on the free of the bored temp
And all the clues awake the park old sets and license plates
And don't forget to check your meal check
And all those coupon expiration dates
The mob just won't say why
When only mercy beats a passerby
And maybe all our luck is crouched
And waiting til there's nothing that cushions
And all of it appears as clear as any other entertainment
Steers for numbers get them slumber fading numb and cumbersome
Our lovers some are others for the sum of it and some for no reason
And we wait for a resolution
Carbon dates show the revolution
The song "For the Sum of It" by Enon, is something of a cryptic and mysterious number that is difficult to decipher, though with a little effort, one can begin to unravel some of the meanings behind the lyrics. The song seems to begin with a sense of some sort of impending doom or tension, the singer is waiting for something, but is not sure exactly what, "I've got one more try, that's why I'm waiting / I don't know why the numbers don't comply". The use of numbers throughout the song is interesting, as if the singer is trying to solve some kind of mathematical puzzle, or perhaps trying to keep a tally of something, such as debts or payments that he needs to make.
As the song progresses, it seems to suggest a sense of resignation and acceptance of a difficult fate, as if there is nothing left to do but wait and see what happens, "And maybe all our luck is crouched / And waiting til there's nothing that cushions". The use of phrases like "carbon dates show the revolution" and "the mob just won't say why" suggest that there is something significant happening, something that is out of the singer's control, but is nevertheless affecting him.
Overall, the song seems to be about feeling helpless in the face of powers or circumstances that are largely beyond our control. Despite this, the song ends on a note of hope, with the singer still waiting for some kind of resolution to the situation.
