Overall Meaning

In "Luna," Enrique Bunbury sings about the waning moon and the emotions and experiences it evokes in him. He begins by saying that when the moon is waning, his strength and energy seem to leave him, which he partly gets from the sun. Even though the moon is hidden behind clouds, he doesn't plan to leave until his lover does. He talks about this cycle of madness that comes and goes, and if it's an illusion, it's still too real for him. He says how he feels lost again and will wait until someone finds him in the morning. He calls the moon a treacherous lover because it hides the key to his future.
