Tu sei laureata
Ti guardi allo specchio
Ma sei ancora tu
Tutta la famiglia
Ha percorso molte miglia
Solo per te Lucia
La prima estate
Tutti e due laureati
Nemmeno tuo padre
Riuscirà a buttarti giù
È il tempo per ballare
Oppure di andare
Alla zona balneare
Lo meriti vai
Vai vai vai vai vai
Sicuro come il cielo è blu
L'autunno arriverà
Mi cerchi e non ci sono più
Allora dove sarai?
Sorridi dai
Come non mai
Non è per rattristarti
Io ti sto cantando
Io voglio ricordarti
La tua vita ce l'hai tu
Se vuoi un consiglio
Solo festeggiare
Lo sai ci sono io
La comitiva è laggiù
Giù giù giù giù giù
Si chiudono le porte e poi
Il palco è pronto per te
In Erlend Øye’s song La Prima Estate, the day has arrived for Lucia to graduate. She looks at herself in the mirror but realizes that nothing has really changed. Her entire family has traveled many miles just to be with her on this special day. Even the singer is present to celebrate with her. Both of them have graduated now, and Lucia’s father can’t bring her down. The time has come to dance and go to the beach area. She deserves to have fun, and the singer encourages her to do so. He assures her that autumn will come, and he won’t be around then. He asks where she will be then, and tells her to smile like never before.
The singer is not trying to make her sad, he just wants Lucia to remember that her life is hers to live. He gives her advice to celebrate and have fun with her friends because he is there with the group. The doors close after the party is over, and the stage is set for Lucia.
This upbeat and summery song captures the essence of celebration, nostalgia, and the realities of coming of age. It reminds us that life is fleeting, and moments like these should be cherished.

ENGLISH LYRICS
The day is come
You are graduated
You look at yourself in the mirror
But you're still you
All the family
Has travelled many miles
Just for you, Lucia
I'm here as well
The first summer
Both (of us) graduated
Not even your father
Will be able to get you downhearted
It's the time to dance
Or to go
To the beach (swimming area)
You deserve it, go!
Go, go, go, go, go!
As sure as the sky is blue
The autumn will come
You look for me but I'm not here anymore
Then, where are you?
Come on, smile
Like never before
It''s not for getting you sad
I'm singing you
I want to remember you
Your life, it's yours
If you want an advice
Just party
You know, I'm here
The group is over there
There there there there there
The doors get closed and than
The stage is ready for you

I only just discovered this song in 2022. Such a fine number and singing. So celebratory. And the video is perfect for it. Look at all these beautiful people with their dancing and smiles. Thanks Erland so much for this. It's sure a great break from the craziness out there in the world.
