He should have won a Grammy, years ago. Underrated artist.

HE GAVE EVERYTHING HE HAD WHEN HE OFFERED US THIS AWESOME MUSIC. THANKS EUGENE. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I NEVER GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE ONE OF YOUR LIVE PERFORMANCES. THANK YOU ALSO JASON, FOR PRESERVING THIS BEAUTIFUL TALENT.

My mix. I had done the whole album, and then Warner A&R got involved and screwed up the vibe. But then Craig Kostich in the promotion department snuck this onto the 12" and I'm so proud of it!

Rick. I certainly know your work, always great!

Congratulations on this side, the. I love the slow burn, how it builds oh so gradually, right until Eugene’s fade-out. The lyrics are unusual, too, a riposte to the cliche of the jealous black man.
