Blow
Eva Under Fire Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The game we′re playing is a game I'll win
I'm a lovesick addict, can′t get enough
Got a real bad habit of messing it up
Five, four, three, two, one
Baby, I′m about to blow
Ready to explode
Hit you with my best shot
Got you in my sights
Running for your life
Love is a liar
R-R-Ready, aim, fire
Baby, I'm about to blow
I′m about to blow
I'm about to
I′m a sinner, sold my soul to play
Russian roulette is my favorite game
I'm a chaos addict, can′t get enough
Got a real dark secret, I'll never give up
Five, four, three, two, one
Baby, I'm about to blow
Ticking likе a time bomb
Ready to explodе
Hit you with my best shot
Got you in my sights
Running for your life
Love is a liar
R-R-Ready, aim, fire
Baby, I′m about to blow
I′m about to blow (baby, I'm about to blow)
I′m about to
Baby, I'm about to blow
Ticking like a time bomb
Ready to explode
Hit you with my best shot
I′m about to blow
Ticking like a time bomb
Ready to explode
Hit you with my best shot
Got you in my sights
Running for your life
Love is a liar
R-R-Ready, aim, fire
Baby, I'm about to blow (I′m about to blow, to blow)
I'm about to blow (I'm about to blow, to blow)
I′m about to blow
Ticking like a time bomb
Ready to explode
Hit you with my best shot
I′m about to
Baby, I'm about to blow
The song "Blow" by Eva Under Fire is a fast-paced and intense track about being fully committed to a destructive relationship. The lyrics suggest that the singer is in love with the chaos and danger of the relationship and is willing to do anything to maintain it, despite the harm it may cause. The song opens with the declaration, "I’m in love with the mess we’re in," which sets the tone for the rest of the song's codependent message. The chorus underscores the sense of impending doom with the repeated refrain, "Baby, I'm about to blow/Ticking like a time bomb/Ready to explode/Hit you with my best shot."
The second verse deepens the interpretation of the chorus, describing the singer as a "sinner" who's "sold [their] soul to play" with their dangerous partner. The repetition of "I'm a chaos addict, can't get enough" emphasizes the idea that the singer is addicted to the drama, even if it's harmful. The chorus returns with even more force after the second verse, culminating in the final bridge that repeats the earlier lyrics and brings the song to a close.
Overall, "Blow" by Eva Under Fire is an intensely expressive song revealing the darker aspects of a relationship. The lyrics insinuate that the singer understands the situation is toxic, but they can't pull away from the excitement and chaos of it all.

The fact that the singer of this band is a psychologist, to me, makes this band even cooler.

I swear Spencer has a vocal style only comparable to the camouflage of a chameleon. I was worried at the start of the song thinking "this doesn't really sound like a fit for Spencer". I was DEAD WRONG.

I think that’s what I love most about him. When he collaborates, he doesn’t make the other band cater to his sound. He caters to theirs. This collab vs the one he did with Bad Wolves? Night and day difference.
