She was literally the cutest sweetest little girl and now she has grown up to be a fine, mature elegant women. Her parents did something right when raising this angel. I admit I am jealous of the people who know Jackie personally. It must be so fun to have her as a family member or friend. I know of a lot of people who came across her when she was younger and said that she was a joy to work with/meet. I have a friend who went to watch her perform in New York City back in 2011 and she got a picture with Jackie as well as an autograph. ❤

It's easy to tell that Jackie Evancho is the best young singer in the world. Fans of other singers have to go on her videos to try and get their singer noticed. Jackie's fans don't need to go on other singers videos because Jackie gets noticed on her talent without that.

People have a right to like who they prefer. There is no law that you have to like all singers no matter what. I happen to believe Jackie Evancho is the best singer ever...period. What is telling is that Jackie's videos are flooded with comments from fans of other young singers and you almost never see it the other way around. Pretty obvious people know Jackie Evancho is the best and has set the standard by which all others are judged.

Wow so many comments comparing Jackie and Amira that I had to check the second one ( I listened to her while ago but I didn't remember how she sang). So, yes, Amira is good, maybe she's better than Jackie opera-wise (I don't know, I have no knowledge about opera singing). The thing that is certain is that Jackie's voice is more stable, she very rarely off key, she is more confident in her singing and more aware of it, and she can perform. From all her X factor performances I only didn't like Time to say goodbye. The rest was perfect. Jackie's Nessun Dorma is my fav of all. And I really like her voice colour. Amira on the other hand - she doesn't make me listen to her other performances... So I guess it's just one's preferences, not that one is better from another.

I personally love Jackie. She is amazing and has captivated me since the day I saw her first sing. Amira is great, though she was shaky during her audition. But one thing is for sure...both girls sang this better than Charlotte Church, and at the time, I thought Charlotte Church was off the hook with this.

Thought I would compare her singing of this song between Evancho and Sarah Brightman. Through Spotify. Studio quality. So Evancho in this youtube is not as great as her singing via Spotify. I must say that Evancho beats Sarah Brightman - for me, by a long mile. This is just my opinion. Not debating anyone. Jackie - way to go !!!

Why are y'all fighting over which 8-year-old is better than which? They're 8-year-olds. They are both pretty impressive singers for their ages, but they have a lot of work to do if they want to actually become prospective opera singers. Also, they're so young that there is a good chance that in 10 years they won't even want to be professional singers. It's just a little strange to be comparing these two young kids and lowkey pitting them against each other.

Also, anyone who has commented that either of these girls is the best singer ever or that their versions of this song is the best version, you are objectively wrong. You obviously don't know anything about opera. There are a plethora of amazing, adult, opera singers who have been mastering their art form for years and are absolutely fabulous.

While Amira and Jackie are good singers for their ages and have a lot of natural talent, no one should be getting this excited about some damn 8-year-olds. Maybe y'all should go work on y'alls own talents; you all would probably find it more fulfilling.

Amira is a (more than) prospective opera singer. Jackie isn't. It doesn'T mean she (Jackie) is worse nonetheless. Both girls have different styles and objectives. While Amira would be a mini Maria Callas or Renata Tebaldi, Jackie would be a mini Celine Dion or Katy Perry. The ones who love opera are happy with Amira. The ones who love pop are happy with Jackie. Personal opinion??? I love Amira. But I like some Jackie's songs too, especially her Nessum dorma version.

He has massive amounts of money, and readily sings with adult females all the time. How would YOU know what they think? They could choose among hundreds/thousands of young singers, yet they chose her. You also know quite well that traditional opera fans HATE Sarah Brightman, so why bring her up? @tunanorth How would you know that they approved of her technique? No professional has ever commented on Jackie's singing on camera except for Sarah Brightman on AGT. And I think Brightman telling Jackie to "save and preserve" her voice is is actually very meaningful because Brightman, being a classically trained singer, knows better than the crazed fans and AGT judges about the dangers of young children singing classical music (especially opera arias) with improper technique. I think Brightman would agree that Jackie needs proper voice training and a proper musical education. Also, Bocelli sang with Jackie likely only because of the money and because singing with her require less effort from him than singing with an adult soprano. Also, Domingo and Jackie have never met so another reason for me doubting your claims about the two tenors approving of Jackie's technique. She was in Domingo's album but the recorded their parts separately. Also, notice how when sings with Bocelli and Jose Carreras in duets, in the parts where they sing together, Jackie's voice sounds like mic feedback because her tones sound like sine waves. Also, the only real opera singers Jackie has ever performed live with are Jose Carreras and Sumi Jo. Carreras is old, past his prime and has greatly deiminished vocal abilities and Sumi Jo is a light coloratura soprano so is the lightest type of opera voice. Carreras in his prime or a full lyric soprano like Renee Fleming would blow Jackie off the stage. In a studio, the sound engineers can always adjust the levels to make Jackie louder.

Jackie has a good sense of pitch and musicality, especially for her age-- but whoever is teaching her is killing her voice. Those arias are not meant to be sung at such a young age, and she is way too far back in her throat for that to be healthy for her voice. If she continues singing like this, she won't have a career later because her voice will be dead and gone. Not only that, her Italian and phrasing are terrible. Like a said, impressive for her age but she should stick to more age appropriate things until she is ready.

Her parents have refused voice teacher because they want to change her voice to make her sound "like every other soprano" She is still too far back in her throat today phrasing still isn't great and still singing the same repertoire. And her fandom is absolutely fanatic despite her mediocrity. Surprisingly she still has a voice 6 years later. It's only a matter of time before her voice breaks.

@Cuivre I believe that you're right. At times I wish that Jackie had veered toward opera because of the tone of her voice. Imagine if she had trained intensively in that field. Oh my. On the other hand, we witnessed what kind of songs she's capable of during The Masked Singer which, in my opinion, she should have won. But either way, I'm a fan of hers and wish her immense success.

@cere tomer The only person who you could say beats Jackie on the operatic arias is Patricia Janeckova- but she has been seriously studying opera since she was discovered on Talentmania.

Amira is dynamic, Jackie Evancho has what seems to me wonderful interpretation, beyond her years, or else she has tremendous teacher. I really do overall prefer Jackie to Amira, but Amira must have roles that she fits well with. Amira needs a voice tutor to develop her talent.
