Spirit
Ex.II Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I hope that when the world comes to an end
I can breathe a sigh of relief
Because there will be so much to look forward to
I see more in you than you see
People look at you like memories
Whether they be good or bad they still left you in the past
But not me
Imma die reflecting upon the sea
They judge but they can not see your heart, your heart
Takes time to reach, A treasure I can’t see
Filled with gems and purity
The love of forgotten dreams
Something like loyalty
You’ll fly across the ocean sea
You’ll hold no grudges under me, hold me tight when they judging me
What is loyalty?
I know it’s not just company, Cause I’ve given my company
And they don’t treat me honestly
What a shame
Where is the blood in my veins?
Puke it all up
World I’m not insane
I’m just in pain
My father don’t love me the same
And I was so cautious my stomach was nauseous
My feet were falling, my wings sprouted to late
Angel wings-matching-her spirit, her spirit
I saw, what, many chose not to see
Only saw her tattooed knees not her heart
Or the spark that could assemble inside of a heart
1 wish, what’s it?
She want mimosas I gave her my lips
Salty, melting, ice
I know that people judge
I’m trying to rewrite the sequel so you don’t gotta beat people up
Stars don’t always grow in L.A.
Some grow out in Oregon and only come here to vacay
She had never been to a museum till she met me
But she look in the mirror every day and that’s the same thing
But not me
Imma die reflecting upon the sea
They judge but they can not see your heart, your heart
Takes time to reach, A treasure I can’t see
Filled with gems and purity
The love of forgotten dreams
Something like loyalty
You’ll fly across the ocean sea
You’ll hold no grudges under me, hold me tight when they judging me
What is loyalty?
I know it’s not just company, Cause I’ve given my company
And they don’t treat me honestly
What a shame
Where is the blood in my veins?
Puke it all up
World I’m not insane
I’m just in pain
My father don’t love me the same
And I was so cautious my stomach was nauseous
My feet were falling, my wings sprouted to late
Angel wings-matching-her spirit, her spirit
I saw, what, many chose not to see

Only saw her tattooed knees
Not her heart

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in Ex.II’s song “Spirit” convey a deep sense of reflection and contemplation over the complexities and injustices of the world. The opening lines express a unique sentiment of hope in the face of an apocalyptic ending, indicating that there is relief to be found in the idea of leaving behind a world that has brought much pain and suffering. The artist then shifts to a more personal reflection about love and loyalty, observing that people are often judged and reduced to memories, but the singer sees something more in the person they love. The artist recognizes that true loyalty goes beyond mere company and echoes his disappointment with those who have not treated him with honesty.

As the song progresses, the artist reflects on his relationship with his father and how his father's love for him differs from that of others. The artist recognizes his own pain and discomfort and emphasizes the isolation he feels in a world that often judges him unfairly. The line “Angel wings-matching-her spirit, her spirit” becomes a metaphor for the artist’s perceptions of the people around him and how he sees them beyond their exteriors. The overall message of the song seems to be about seeing beyond outward appearances and recognizing the inherent worth of each individual, despite how they may be judged by others.

Just bought one two days ago. Gotta wait for 3 weeks for it to come in though. Can't wait to put it to the test.

@jacksp8452

I have a 20 year old spirit and today I bought a new one, these things are built to last

@rwdplz1

Just picked up the 3 burner model E-310, going to take it for a test grill tonight: hot dogs, hamburgers, and a couple porterhouse steaks.

@patrickmckowen2999

Well -- hungry bbq folks want an update
Cheers

@rwdplz1

It was great! Grill was perfectly consistent and held heat well, just like using Dad's old Weber.

I just bought this gas grill Spirit II E-210 without the enclosed cabinet on the bottom this past week I am going to miss the handle on the left side side kick table that was deigned on a Spirit E-210 model in 2008. That handle came in so handy to tip up your grill to move from your patio to your shed if you like to put away your grill for the winter season. I hope we like this new basic spirit II E-210 model grill. We wanted the one with the enclosed cabinet but did not get it for one reason, why did Weber put all four lock style caster type style Wheels on it? What if you are a person that moves your grill to storage during the winter months like we do in Midwest, IL and don't keep your grill on your patio or deck all seasons? Just my opinion Weber has been trying to compete with competitors instead of keeping up with their own common sense style innovative engineering of their grills which makes Weber unique grills to buy and besides your great warranty, customer service, getting parts for at least 10 years and grills lasting past 10 years or more. I hope our new Spirit II E-210 grill gives us 15 years of service like our older model 2008 model Spirit Grill. The only reason we are buying new grill we could not find a new flame tube to fit the grill model from 2008 they changed the design. The rest of our grill otherwise was in great condition hated to have to part with it. The new ignition system I am looking forward to it being much easier to light and safer to start. We are waiting a week for assembly and delivery next week can't wait to start cooking on the Spirit II E-210 model grill.

@CraigArndt

I own the natural gas version, E-310. It is a really nice grill, excellent quality.

@yoshshmenge294

I think I'm going to buy one of these over the Broil King Baron. The 10 year 100% warranty is hard to beat.

@billysplinterbillysplinter7348

Mike Oxlong it’s also hard to get Weber to honour it. Mine has rust on ceramic parts after 1st season of use no joy with warranty claim.

@kylewarner2828

The broil king baron has a lifetime warranty though...
