Round And Round
Excalibur Lyrics

You know it's only gravity
Trapped inside a confused mind
Relapse of my insanity
So don't say there's nothing wrong
Upstairs in my mind
Yeah, Ooh, Woah Woah
Every day in every single way
So confused eternally abused
Trying to find an alibi
And I know there's nothing wrong
Upstairs in my mind
Yeah, yeah yeah
What goes up must come down
Inside out round and round
Warning signs defeat the blind
I just don't know who I am
Memories taunting me
Trying to find the master plan
Now it seems there's something wrong
Upstairs in my mind
Yeah, No no, No
What goes up
Must come down
Inside out
Round and round
Yeah yeah
Come on
What goes up must come down
You say it's only gravity
Locked inside my deranged mind
The key to my insanity
Now I know there's something wrong
Somewhere in my mind
In my mind
Yeah
The lyrics to Excalibur's song "Round And Round" delve into the theme of internal struggle and confusion. The lyrics suggest a constant cycle of ups and downs, as symbolized by the phrase "What goes up must come down." This line points to the inevitability of both positive and negative experiences in life. The mention of gravity reinforces this idea, emphasizing the natural forces that govern our existence.
The singer describes feeling trapped inside a confused mind, experiencing a relapse of their own insanity. This suggests that they may have struggled with mental health issues or internal conflicts in the past, and now find themselves in a similar state of turbulence. The repetition of the line "So don't say there's nothing wrong upstairs in my mind" emphasizes the presence of something amiss within their thoughts and emotions.
Throughout the song, the lyrics convey a sense of frustration and confusion. The singer feels lost, searching for an alibi and a master plan to make sense of their memories and identity. The line "Warning signs defeat the blind" suggests that there may have been indications of their struggles, but others have failed to recognize or understand them.
Overall, "Round And Round" paints a picture of an individual grappling with their inner demons, trying to make sense of their experiences and find a sense of stability and understanding within themselves.
