The paradox...
The lyrics to Excision's song "The Paradox" hint at a mythical era before the creation of humans, where ancient creatures uncovered a mysterious power that could bring about the end of worlds. In their wisdom, they chose to sacrifice themselves to preserve this power until the present day. The song, therefore, speaks about the unfolding events that follow as the power is unleashed, giving rise to a paradoxical world where the forces of good and evil struggle to take control.
The lyrics also refer to the character X, who is believed to possess remarkable powers that allow him to probe into the realm of the unknown. However, those who encounter him are warned of the dangers of being trapped under his gaze, as his stare holds the power to unleash the paradox. In essence, the song tells a story of an epic battle between the supernatural forces of evil and good, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
