The Rapture
Exit Calm Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Forever dancing with the devil
Lost in the crowd
You think you're on another level
You think you figured it out
I think that your time's run out

I could play you in a film
Without a script and win an Oscar
I've studied you up close
The mirrors lost ya
Put too much faith in what you see
It will cost ya

You need know that
The rapture will come
The rapture will come
And it won't be long

Your stolen dreams of living life
From rags to riches
Are nothing but a joke
Left me in stitches
You're in the dictionary
Next to what a bitch is

You need to know that
The rapture will come
The rapture will come

Where are you gonna run to now?
Where are you gonna run to now?
Where will you run?

Dreams are emotions calling her
To feel as the wind blows cold
Scenes of recorded memories
Appear like a mind slide show
It's a story that will never be told
Your rapture is another stone's throw

I could play you in a film
Without a script and win an Oscar
I've studied you up close
The mirrors lost ya

You need to know that
The rapture will come
The rapture will come
The rapture will come
The rapture will come

Scenes of recorded memories

Appear like a mind slide show
It's a story that will never be told

They were around when nobody cared about views

Rael99

@Nick Stevans Compare that to Kasabian's Fire video of 27m then it is. They were good enough to be up there with them, but hey sometimes you get the breaks and sometimes you don't and the money these days is all about who turns up to your gigs.

Nick Stevans

@Rael99 I don’t compare things, I look at whether or not something is fundamentally successful in the first place.

Rael99

@Nick Stevans ... That depends how you define successful? And to be fair my first comment was obviously expressing an opinion that they should have been bigger than they were, nothing more than that.
