Extra (1) is a swedish electronic post punk / new wave band from Sweden. Henryk Lipp (later of Blue For Two) and Marie Ell (Marie & the Wildwood Flowers) were both about to be prominent players on the GΓΆteborg alternative scene in the 80's.
Extra (2) is the work of experimental-alternative-ambient artist Michael Erickson from Minneapolis, Minnesota. His debut album, A Simple Escape, was released completely free under the creative commons license in 2008. Michael Erickson also plays in a local Minneapolis band named Facing the Plastic.
Extra (3) is a California-based band playing original music. Members are:
Jim Mills - drums, voice, songs, misc.
Anita Morand - bass, voice
Jon Niemann - guitar, keyboards
Aaron Criswell - guitar

Jim Mills is a former member of Drill Team (Reprise Records) and the Wondermints (now playing with Brian Wilson). Anita Morand was in a band called Veronika (A&M Records) while Jon Niemann has been an in-demand session player for years ( Lili Haydn, Hilary Duff, and The Wilshires). Aaron Criswell and Jim Mills played together in Martian Lamps previously. They all came together in 2006 to play Jim Mills' music in Extra. Extra is based in L.A., and have gigged consistently on the West Coast (and Europe) ever since.
