Extreme (usa) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't just sit there and stare at me,
Don't just sit there and watch me bleed,
I'm losing you, and you, you're losing me.
I'm tired of what we are,
I'm tired of all the pain,
I'm losing you, and you, you're losing me.

Faace lies flat,
I see my reflection.
Download thoughts,
But your files are corrupted,

Don't just sit there and stare at me,
Don't just sit there and watch me bleed,
I'm losing you, and you, you're losing me.
I'm tired of what we are,
I'm tired of all the pain,
I'm losing you, and you, you're losing me.

Time stands still,
And you're frozen in motion.
Held down your escape,
But you're crashing,
You're crashing.

Don't just sit there and stare at me,
Don't just sit there and watch me bleed,
I'm losing you, and you, you're losing me.
I'm tired of what we are,

I'm tired of all the pain,
I'm losing you, we're losing...

Overall Meaning

The song "Interface" by Extreme (USA) is a powerful and deep commentary on the struggle of human connection in the digital age. The lyrics express frustration with the disconnect and dehumanization brought on by technology, as the singer laments losing their connection with someone they care about. The metaphor of computers and files is used to convey this sense of loss and disconnection, as the singer reflects on the corrupted state of their relationship.

The opening lines of the song convey a sense of urgency and desperation, as the singer pleads with their partner not to simply watch them suffer. It is clear that the relationship has been damaged in some way, and both parties are losing each other. The line "face lies flat, I see my reflection" suggests a sense of emptiness and lack of real interaction, as the singer stares at their own reflection in a computer screen. This is contrasted with the line "I'm tired of all the pain," indicating the emotional toll of this disconnection.

The chorus repeats the message of loss and frustration, and the second verse adds a sense of helplessness as the singer describes their partner as "frozen in motion" and "crashing." Overall, "Interface" is a poignant and thought-provoking commentary on the impact of technology on human relationships.

I loved this song within seconds this is just amazing, so melodic with beautiful changes like so many Extreme songs. Why aren't these guys bigger? They are phenomenal musicians always were!

@aladdinsane7882

Phenomenal drummers singers and guitar players are irrelevant in this age of lip singing, live recorded guitar and drums, and an industry that is not for musicians anymore.

@rejanemariaferreira4562
