Take away the things that bring me down before they do
What do I get? What do I get? What do I get? Life seems so obscene
What do I get? What do I get? What do I get? We give up something
Whoa, whoa
Be my hope tonight
Whoa, whoa
It's better to fall for what you believe
Than standing for something that doesn′t make no sense to be
Like to show my teeth to let you know that I'll be fine
If I just be cool like you, then things will soon unwind
A little, a little, a little, spend my life with you
A little, a little, a little, we give up something
Whoa, whoa (Whoa)
Be my hope tonight
Whoa, whoa (Whoa)
It's better to fall for what you believe
Than standing for something that doesn′t make no sense to be
It′s better to fall for what you believe
Than standing for something that doesn't make no sense to be
Take me higher... take me higher...
Cover me, cover me, cover me
Cover me
What do I get? What do I get? What do I get? Life seems so obscene
What do I get? What do I get? What do I get? We give up something
Whoa, whoa (Whoa)
I swear I′m overdue
Whoa, whoa (Whoa)
It's better to fall for what you believe
Than standing for something that doesn′t make no sense to be
Fall for what you believe
Than standing for something that doesn't make no sense to be
(Higher)
Sense to be (Take me higher)
Fall for what you believe in
Fall for what you believe in
Fall for what you believe in
Fall for what you believe in...
The lyrics of Eyeshine's song Fall describe a sense of hope and determination in the face of adversity. The singer speaks of a "sentimental feeling" that they get with someone, and the desire to "take away the things that bring me down before they do." They question what life has to offer and what they will get out of it. Despite this uncertainty, they believe it is better to fall for what you believe in than to stand for something that doesn't make sense. They express a desire to be cool like the other person and to spend their life with them, giving up something in the process. The refrain of "whoa, whoa" emphasizes the importance of hope and belief, urging the listener to fall for what they believe in.
The overall message of the song is one of resilience and determination to overcome obstacles. The singer acknowledges the difficulties in life but urges the listener to hold onto their beliefs and not give up. The lyrics use a mix of metaphors and direct language to convey this message, giving the listener a sense of hope and encouragement.
