Their music is an experimental pop-logic mix of rock, electronica, industrial and ambiental elements. Sometimes contemplative, sometimes intense and cathartic, often with a sense of irony and sarcasm.
Their debut full length record is called “4st_Fourst” and it was released in June 2007 by Raging Planet Record (Portugal).
In the meantime, the band released two EPs “Of Human Bondage” (2001) and “Iconflict” (2003), and a CD with remixes “Electronics” (2005), where relevant artists in the Portuguese independent music scene appear with reinterpretations of the songs of both EPs. They have also appeared on three tribute records (The Cure, The Misfits and Mão Morta), and in many other releases.

Bipolar
F.E.V.E.R. Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Bonito demais
Pro amor o coração fechou janelas e portas
Que me faz voltar bem fácil pra você (vai)
'Tá complicado sentir raiva e amar assim
Eu 'to achando que meu coração é bipolar
'Tá complicado sentir raiva e amar assim
Eu 'to achando que meu coração é bipolar
Coisa boa (? Menino)
Com vocês agora ('cê 'tá louco)
Manda ver, quero ver
Que me faz voltar bem fácil pra você
'Tá complicado sentir raiva e amar assim
Eu 'to achando que meu coração é bipolar
'Tá complicado sentir raiva e amar assim
Eu 'to achando que meu coração é bipolar
'Tá complicado sentir raiva e amar assim
Eu 'to achando que meu coração é bipolar
'Tá complicado sentir raiva e amar assim
Eu 'to achando que meu coração é bipolar
The lyrics of F.E.V.E.R.'s song "Bipolar" delve into the intricate emotions of love and heartache, portraying a complex internal struggle. The opening lines express a desire to remain single for the time being, indicating a hesitation to open up to someone new. The singer acknowledges that their heart has closed off to love, shutting windows and doors to protect themselves from potential hurt. This sense of self-preservation reflects a reluctance to engage in new relationships due to past experiences.
The lyrics then transition into a depiction of the singer's isolation, as they mention rarely leaving the house and the visual image of empty bottles strewn on the balcony. These details paint a picture of loneliness and detachment from the outside world, hinting at a state of emotional withdrawal. The act of giving away the ex-partner's belongings symbolizes a final detachment, a way to prevent the possibility of being hurt again by their return with a tempting smile.
The repeated refrain of feeling both anger and love in a conflicting manner suggests a tumultuous inner turmoil. The singer reflects on their own heart, contemplating its contradictory desires to forget and to remember the past relationship. The portrayal of the heart as "bipolar" highlights the constant wavering between wanting to move on and being drawn back to the memories of the past love. Despite the attempt to push the ex-partner away, there is an underlying admission that they would struggle to resist if the ex were to come back.
The inclusion of Henrique & Gabriel and Ícaro e Gilmar in the lyrics adds a layer of authenticity, grounding the narrative in a specific location in Goiânia. The playful interaction with the audience, encouraging them to follow hand gestures and dance moves, breaks the emotional intensity of the song with a moment of light-heartedness. The final lines, expressing appreciation and blessings, convey a sense of gratitude and camaraderie among friends in the music scene. Overall, "Bipolar" captures the complexities of love, loss, and the internal conflicts that arise when navigating the aftermath of a broken relationship.
