"After close to five years as a band, FLAK have decided to call it quits. We can no longer function as a band, and have been relatively unsuccessful trying to make name for ourselves on the national scale, as well as in the current wave of bands in our own city. We plan on playing one last show on August 18th, but this is contingent upon our ability to communicate with our singer, which was among the reasons for our cessation as a group. Guitarist NM is now playing with a group called Red Fox with our roadie Krystyna and members of Night Terror and Pyramid Scheme. Bassist Paul is now writing music and practicing with an as yet unnamed black metal group, and plans to start a new hardcore band, also with members of Night Terror. The band as a whole would like to thank first and foremost Krystyna for putting up with us, Jimmy for getting us a tour with his band, Jason for his excellent artwork, not just on the records and t-shirts, but on our skin as well, and all of the punk rockers who came and saw us, everyone who let us stink up their floor and couches, and fed us or gave us beer and drugs, and most of all to anyone who actually enjoyed what we put on wax and what we brought to the stage, it is because of you that we did this."
