The band has four members:
Anders Meinhardt - drums
Lars Magnus Halvorsen - bass (bonus info: Lars is from Norway but he lives in Denmark)
Casper Meinhardt - keyboards, samples
Rune Pagh Rawson - samples
F.U.K.T is also known as FUKT, but changed their name in 2005, probably because of some sad misunderstandings of the name. FUKT is NOT a misspelling of the English word 'fucked', but rather a misspelling of the Danish word 'fugt', which in English means 'moist'.
Though it might sound like a stupid idea to play dnb by hand - a genre mostly residing inside samplers, synths and sequencers - and though it could have been a terrible cliche of a joke, over the last couple of years F.U.K.T has actually managed to attracted a lot attention in both Denmark and the UK through their energetic and tight music.
Since summer 2004 they have released 3 so called 'Outbreakz', which is a bunch of tracks that has been for sale at their concerts and been available as free downloads via their website.
So far the peak of their career must have been summer 2005. On June 30th they kick started the opening of the Metropol Stage at Roskilde Festival along with the Danish DJ and event crew OHOI! - only one year after they (at that time called FUKT) played the Camping Stage (the stage featuring upcoming artists in the days before the actual festival). The 2005 concert is available as a free download from thir website.
Through 2005 Anders was the drummer on the Varano tour, where he got to know Morten Varano. In the fall Morten Varano decided to sign F.U.K.T to his label Murena Records, resulting in a record (called 'Play With Fire') coming out in Denmark in April, and the rest of Europe in September 2006. The only bad thing about the record deal is that the Outbreakz vol. I-III is no longer avilable for download on the band website.
