We had a choice between the music from the only state radio station at the time where there were only news about the great achievements of communism and patriotic music, and some tapes brought by some of us. Has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. To me Mark Konpfler is a quintessential example of someone who won't win any singing competition, yet could write, play guitar and deliver astoundingly beautiful songs. At least 6 out of the 9 songs here are all time classics.

This song was recently played at my grandads funeral, never heard it before and never heard of dire straits but ive been wanting to listen to it because my grandad liked it but ive come to enjoy it. Ive always loved music but never liked the new music thats on the charts and this is definitely became a song ill never forget, even if i do listen through tears. His favourite was brothers in arms by dire straits and i now listen to remember him. Such amazing and calm sounding songs.
