Tommy de Roos first attempted to DJ techno and rave records in the early 1990s, and began experimenting with making music from sampled tape loops, a keyboard, and feedback. After his family acquired a computer, he started using tracker software, which drastically changed his approach to music-making. He started a zine and label called Orange Socks in 1997, and released breakcore, noise, and experimental cassettes by himself, his friends, and artists he met through trading tapes. He started issuing tracks on vinyl in 2001, beginning with a split EP with Fast Forward, and followed by records on labels including , Clash Records, and Sprengstoff Recordings. That year, FFF and also organized Breakcore a GoGo, one of the first regular breakcore events in Europe. After the series ended in 2004, FFF started a similar monthly called Wreck Havoc. A 12" titled after the event series was released in 2007, and the happy hardcore-influenced The Feeling appeared on the same year.
Following a 2008 tour of Japan with and DJ Technorch, FFF became more heavily involved with the Japanese hardcore scene. He released several full-lengths on Tokyo label , including the 2011 double CD 20.000 Hardcore Members Can't Be Wrong and two split albums with DieTRAX. A 2015 split EP with Coco Bryce marked FFF's shift from breakcore towards old-school jungle, mixing heavy breakbeats with more atmospheric textures. He's successfully continued in this style, releasing additional splits with Bryce and solo records like 2017's Badman Touchdown, additionally flirting with footwork on the same year's Dubcore Volume 12. Continuing his productive output into the 2020s, FFF released records on , , Diamond Life, and several other imprints. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi

mon quartier c'est bien plus que ca c'est l'été
l'été plus facile de se laisser caresser
pour s'enfoncer dans le ventre de la ville
les quartiers chauds c'est plus docile
nouveau pelerinage
amis touristes visitez mon village
me monte a la tete me monte a la tete
barbes
yeah yeah yeah yeah
barbes
me monte a la tete me monte a la tete
barbes

The song "Barbès" by FFF tells the story of the Barbès neighborhood in Paris, which is well known for being a multicultural and colorful area. The lyrics talk about the heat of summer, which makes it easier for people to embrace the atmosphere of the neighborhood, with its urban legends, erotic cola nut sellers and dark streets that come to life at night. The singer of the song is inviting tourists to visit his village and to let themselves be carried away by the energy of the place, the "charme de Barbès". The lyrics also list some of the aspects that makes the neighborhood famous, including its fire, its drama, its drugs, its women, and its tears.
The song creates a vivid picture of neighbourhood life, with its ups and downs, and also invites the listener to experience the area themselves. The chorus repeats the phrase "Barbès me monte à la tête" which can be translated as "Barbès is getting to my head", suggesting that the singer is fully immersed in the atmosphere of the neighborhood and unable to resist its charms.
