The days of life flow by '
Before my eyes
I lost my patience to the night
The streams I used to climb '
They're running dry
And now I'm tired of wasting time
'Cause out there in the deep blue sky '
My stars are shining bright
I look into those eyes of doubt '
It's to say 'goodbye'
Come on and give your soul '
The heartbeat of the thunder
Take all these false controles
And throw 'em all away
Just look right through this life '
Beyond the gates of reason
Come on and let those children play
A drifter on the wind '
That's what I am
And now the distance calls my name
We go down the road of love '
We'll meet again
And we'll find nothing stayed the same
'Cause out there in the golden dawn
We're rising with the wind
I'll look into those eyes of love '
It's only the begin
Come on and give your soul '
The heartbeat of the thunder
Take all these false controls
And throw 'em all away
Just look right through this life '
Beyond the gates of reason
Come on and let those children play '
Let them play '
Come on and give your soul '
The heartbeat of the thunder
Take all those false controls
And throw 'em all away
Just look right through this life '
Beyond the gates of reason
Come on and let those children
Come on and let those children play '
Let them play '
Let those children play
Let them play '
Let those children play
The song 'Come On' by Fair Warning is an expression of the need to break free from the shackles of life and live freely. The song begins with the singer acknowledging the passing of time and his frustration with the current state of affairs. He talks about how he used to climb streams, but they have run dry now, suggesting perhaps that he has lost his passion or enthusiasm for life. However, he feels a glimmer of hope in the deep blue skies where his stars still shine, and yet he is held back by 'those eyes of doubt.' He calls out to the listener to give their soul to the rhythm of the thunder, throwing away all false controls and letting the children play.
The chorus emphasizes the importance of letting go of the things that hold us back and freeing ourselves. The singer urges the listener to look beyond the gates of reason and let those children play, symbolizing the innocence, wonder, and exploration that we often suppress as we get older. The song then takes a slightly different turn, with the singer acknowledging his wandering nature and the call of the distance. He talks about going down the road of love and finding that nothing stayed the same. However, he also finds hope in the golden dawn and rising with the wind, suggesting that he is still looking for new adventures and experiences.
Overall, 'Come On' is a call to break free from the chains of routine and expectations, to look beyond what is expected and embrace the joy of living. It urges listeners to let go of their fears and doubts, to embrace the unknown, and to allow themselves to be guided by the rhythm of the thunder.
