Burning Bridges
Faron Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(Burning bridges behind me) all I want is to forget you somehow
Found some letters you wrote me this morning
And they told of a love we once knew
Now they're gone I'd burned them to ashes
Don't want nothing that reminds me of you
Burning bridges behind me it's too late to turn back now
Burning bridges behind me all I want is to forget you somehow
Sold the house we once planned together
And said goodbye to folks we once knew

Then I moved to the faraway city trying hard to forget about you
Burning bridges behind me

@marcus Brazil His records were on the rock,n,roll pop charts in NZ during the late 1950s, early 1960s, but to me they were more rockabilly than pop !!!
