Fly Away
Fast Free Frogs Under the Rain Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I wish that I could fly
Into the sky
So very high
Just like a dragonfly

I'd fly above the trees
Over the seas
In all degrees
To anywhere I please

Oh, I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea

Let's go and see the stars
The Milky Way or even Mars
Where it could just be ours

Let's fade into the sun
Let your spirit fly
Where we are one
Just for a little fun
Oh, oh, oh yea

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea

I got to get away
Girl I got to get away
Oh, oh, oh yea

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea
Oh yeah

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea
I got to get away

I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away
Yea
I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yea, yea, yea
Girl I got to get away

I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away
Yea
I want to get away
I want to fly away

Yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea

Don't kill off frogs and toads. Sakes, birds, and frogs and toads are good for your yard! Leave them alone. As a toad owner, I find this idiotic and illogical.

Sincerely,
An offended owner of two chonky toads.

PS: my toads say "Heck You" for this video.

Bought a house with a big yard recently. Beautiful garden but needs a lot of maintaining. Came across a very large Cape Sand Toad (I live in SA and we call these "vlei paddas") and they are my worse nightmare. Im assuming this was a mother frog because the thing was huge. I freaked out when I encountered this monster and buried it under the sand and moved on to another part of the garden I'm busy cleaning.
I use to come across these back in the country where i grew up, and would kill it no questions asked. This one just scared the shit out of me 😆
Nevertheless, the toad's days are over in my yard.

@Noofter Some people are outright anxious about frogs and toads. Let the man do what he needs to gain peace of mind for himself and his family.

@ExtrovertedCenobite Being a coward afraid of their own shadow isn’t an excuse to do irreparable damage to your local ecosystem. Can’t handle nature, don’t choose to live where nature is prevalent. I’m not interested in coddling Kevin and Karen’s suburban fantasy at the cost of animals that do more net good for the world than your average person ever will. By your logic everyone should be allowed to act however they want when they feel anxious, given that I quite enjoy not living in a road warrior hellscape, I don’t subscribe to that logic

@Noofter So you have never used pesticide and would you not kill a snake that may be a danger to yourself and your family even if it does have some benefits to the environment.

Some people actually have panic attacks if they have certain rodents, insects or animals in their yard and yes some of these critters are not away in some far away country habitat but in city and suburban centers.

You don't have to 'coddle' anyone but understand and respect others situation.

I live in Arizona. We have Colorado River toads and they are not good to have around our pups because if they lick or touch this toad they can die. We keep getting toads in our backyard. So, we have gotta do something immediately.

I am experiencing the same thing. I have a small back yard in Scottsdale and I find one in my back yard every night for the past 2 weeks. I catch them in a box and relocate them to the greenbelt area, which is about 8 houses away. I don't know if its the same one coming back or a different one. The next one I find, I'm marking him with a drop of fingernail polish so I can tell if it's a new toad or the same one. I have 2 little dogs and I can't let them outside in the backyard at night. This is the first year i had to deal with toads. Im getting very good at catching them and putting them in a box for relocation. Wherever they came from, I wish they would go back.

They can kill dogs very quickly if they secrete their repellent in their face if scared enough. Dog can be instantly poisoned and not know what hit it. This is extremely common here in Florida they come out most nights.

i have a phobia of frogs and i live in florida so come summertime, i live in a perpetual nightmare. my only solace is inside the house or at the beach where it is free of frogs. one time i came home to three big frogs guarding my front door, i could not come inside the house as i was stricken in fear. i can only blame my mom for putting up solar lights near the front door which may have attracted them. at this point i would rather have 10 snakes in my yard than 1 frog as they look less scary to me
