All by myself
No one to walk with
But I'm happy on the shelf
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
I know for certain
I'm through with flirtin'
It's just you I'm thinkin' of
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
Like Jack Horner
In the corner
Don't go nowhere
What do I care?
Your kisses are worth waitin' for
Believe me
I don't stay out late
Don't care to go
I'm home about eight
Just me and my radio
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
Like Jack Horner
In the corner
Don't go nowhere
What do I care?
Your kisses are worth waitin' for
Believe me
I don't stay out late
Don't care to go
I'm home about eight
Just me and my radio
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
The song "Ain't Misbehavin'" is a classic piece of music that was written by Fats Waller and Harry Brooks, with lyrics by Andy Razaf. It was originally composed in 1929 and has since then been interpreted by many artists in various styles. The song is a tribute to the joys of being in love, and the commitment that comes with it.
The lyrics are simple, and yet they convey a deep sense of longing and desire. The first verse sets the stage for the song, with the singer lamenting his loneliness. He has no one to talk to, and no one to walk with. Despite this, he is happy to be alone, as he is saving his love for someone special.
The second verse reveals that he already knows who that someone special is - the one he loves. He is now committed to this person, and is no longer flirting with anyone else. He is waiting patiently for the day he can be with them again.
The chorus repeats the sentiment of the first verse, emphasizing that he is not misbehaving by being alone. He is content with his simple life, and is saving his love for the person he cares about.
Overall, the song is a celebration of the purity and simplicity of love. Its message is timeless and universal, and it continues to resonate with audiences today.
