Fave started playing the piano at 18 while attending Ball State University. Two years later, he became the musical director of his university gospel choir and spent most of the mid to late-90s writing gospel songs and playing piano in local churches. He is also self-taught on organ, trombone, trumpet, lead and bass guitar.
In 2000, Fave moved to Atlanta and studied production under many renowned and underground R&B / pop producers. In 2002, Fave joined indie label, Lightsout Entertainment and co-founded GrooveSpeak, a weekly open mic showcase in Southwest Georgia. His love for the “neo soul” movement expanded while promoting this event and recording new material.
Fave produced two albums while at LOE, the spoken word / soul LP, Lovers Interlude and Barry Ousley’s R&B debut, Emotional Progression. Both albums demonstrated Fave’s versatile style of production, songwriting and vocal arrangements. Fave founded the “Grown + Sexy (G&S) Band" where he played keys and sang throughout the Southeast. During this time, he was known as “Trelblaza” for starting these new cultural movements. He left LOE amicably in 2004 in order to relocate from Georgia and further his career as a marketing executive in the beverage industry.
In 2006, Fave began working on a music podcast celebrating underexposed indie artists in addition to his own selections. The Friday Favecast has evolved to a weekly podcast highlighting artists such as Eric Roberson, Sy Smith, Dwele, Foreign Exchange, Little Brother, S1, Choklate and others.
He currently produces the The Friday Favecast in Houston in addition to contributing keys and vocals as 1/3 of the Cross Country Collective with electronica producer, Todd Kelley (Big La), and gospel-jazz guitarist Doug Ramsay (Fresh).
Fave recently co-produced the Men Love Mary: A Tribute to "My Life" mixtape project hosted by Chucky Thompson, and featuring Eric Roberson, Jesse Boykins III, Nino Moschella, et al.

With the wild in your eyes
I'd last a lifetime with you
I just want that kinna view
You came and broke my pain
With the wild in your eyes
I'd last a lifetime with you
I just want that kinna view
Have a mask
Here are my sins
I don't believe in what anyone else sees
Except you are guiding that party
And you watching
All my every move
Have a mask
Here are my sins
I don't believe in what anyone else sees
Except you are guiding that party
And you watching
All my every move
Take a mask for my sins
Do you need loving like everyone else's?
Oh yeah
Help me mask all my sins
Or darling would you love me?
Take a mask for my sins
Do you need loving like everyone else's?
Oh yeah
Help me mask all my sins
Or darling would you love me?
Would you love me
I need to know that
Or would you
Leave me lonely
I know i deserve that.
Would you love me
I need to know that
Or would you
Leave me lonely
I know i deserve that
Take a mask for my sins
Do you need loving like everyone else's?
Oh yeah
Help me mask all my sins
Or darling would you love me?
Ooh oh oh
Would you love me
like I want, I need?
(We're) waiting for love
In the backyard
Looking for what's not lost
you love me?
I need to know that.
Do you do you do you
In the song "M.O.M.M.S" by Fave, the first two stanzas talk about how the singer's lover drives them insane but also holds the key to their happiness. The lines "You came and broke my pain with the wild in your eyes" and "I'd last a lifetime with you, I just want that kinna view" suggest that the relationship has its ups and downs, but the singer is committed to staying with them because of the spark they bring to their life. The third and fourth stanzas reveal a more vulnerable side of the singer. They are willing to show their "sins" to their lover and trust them to guide them towards the right path. They feel that their lover is the only one who truly understands them and supports them, saying "I don't believe in what anyone else sees / Except you are guiding that party / And you're watching all my every move."
The song then moves on to the chorus where the singer questions their lover's commitment to them. They ask if their lover needs the same type of love as everyone else or if they are looking for something more unconventional. The lines "Help me mask all my sins / Or darling would you love me?" suggest that the singer is not confident in their ability to be loved for who they truly are and feels that they need to put up a façade to be accepted. The last stanza is a call to action for their lover to reveal their true feelings towards them. They ask for clarity, saying "Would you love me? I need to know that / Or would you leave me lonely? I know I deserve that."
