In April 2009, a new lineup was announced with Cazares returning and Gene Hoglan as drummer. Bell and Stroud are both reprising their respective roles, and the band completed a seventh studio album entitled Mechanize. Former members Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera (both currently playing in Arkaea) dispute the legitimacy of the new lineup, and a legal battle is underway from both parties. The band has performed at three Ozzfests as well as the inaugural Gigantour and has had singles in the US Mainstream Rock Top 40 and albums in the Billboard Top 40, 100, and 200. The band has sold more than 1 million albums in the US alone.
Flashpoint
Fear Factory Lyrics

Right to your face
And I'll burn
Eternally in flames
In flames
Instinct
Has failed me now
By my deceit
Lies sink in like gasoline
Saturates my body
One last spark of dishonesty
And that will be the death of me
Damned
In flames
Damned
In flames
Lies engulf me
Lies they burn me
Lies they purge me
Lies they free me
Lies sink in like gasoline
Saturates my body
One last spark of dishonesty
And that will be the death of me
Damned
In flames
Damned
In flames
In the song "Flashpoint" by Fear Factory, the lyrics express the remorse of a person who has lied and will inevitably face the consequences of their deceitful actions. The opening lines, "I lied right to your face, and I'll burn eternally in flames," convey the guilt and regret felt by the liar. The following lines, "Instinct has failed me now, Enslaved by my deceit," reveal the struggle within the person's mind, as they realize that their desire to lie has caused them to lose control of their own actions.
The refrain, "Lies sink in like gasoline, saturates my body. One last spark of dishonesty, and that will be the death of me," accentuates the destructive nature of lying. The liar feels engulfed and burned by their lies, as if they cannot escape the consequences of their actions. The repetition of the phrase "Damned in flames" reinforces the idea that the liar will suffer for their actions.
Overall, "Flashpoint" by Fear Factory is a deep and thought-provoking song about the consequences of deceit. It encourages listeners to consider the weight of their words and to recognize the power that honesty can hold.

@@foojam2002 To the simple minded maybe. Guaranteed when they listen to their own music they are completely calm, dont twitch a muscle tap along with the beat or move their heads. The beat is technical and mocking of machinery, and the message is crystal and clear if you calmly take it in instead of feeding into your aimless emotions
