HELLO ! Ok here you go my friend : the genre is called AFROBEAT, which is fusion between funk, jazz, and traditional African music, if you find African bands, it's the best, but there are many African-American gems from the US, and for about approx. 10-15 years good European bands too !
Here is a little spontaneous list to enjoy afrobeat (NOT including Kuti family which is big boss Afrobeat family) :
Bogotá - Criolo
Segun Οkeji - I Like Woman
Hugh Masekela - Languta - 1973
The Shaolin Afronauts - Sissoko
Souljazz Orchestra - Kapital
K. Frimpong Backed By Vis-A-Vis - Aboagyewaa
ORCHESTRE POLY RYTHMO DE COTONOU - Djanfa magni
Shina Williams & His African Percussionists - Agboju Logun
Jungle By Night - Termite
Lafayette Afro Rock Band -- Soul Makossa (original is Manu DIbango but this band rocks and needs to be spread!)

Voilà ! Good listening, good goose bumps, and do not forget to shake your booty !

One thing I appreciate so much is how Fela was able to make his music and songs with lyrics is the ability to sing it forward and backward without missing one beat! Majority of his songs are played from front to back and back to front extending the song upwards to 30 minutes long! Talent! If you listen carefully, exactly how the song starts out is how it ends, low key mellow strokes of the keyboards or sax or strings and the big congo drums gives it that funk appeal!

Yes ,.I agree talent and preparation and hence the results. Talent is like salt production or preparation is just like iodine in that salt.so there we are ,,,the man was good .this fact cant be negated.
