Wringle Wrangle
Git-up there yeah oh, oh
Oh wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle
Mighty fine horse I’m in love of course
Cause I got me a pretty woman’s love
Oh wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle
Spurs on my boots and I don’t give a hoot
Cause I got me a pretty woman’s love
With a dollars worth of beans, a new pair of jeans
Got a woman to cook and wash and things
Oh wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle
If I die I ain’t a-gonna cry
Cause I got me a pretty woman’s love
Wringle wrangle, wringle wrangle
Yes I got me a pretty woman’s love
The lyrics of Fess Parker's song "Wringle Wrangle" are a celebration of a cowboy's life and the things that make it worthwhile. The refrain "wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle" is a playful and rhythmic chant that suggests the sound of a horse's hooves and a rider's spurs, adding to the song's Western flair. The cowboy expresses his love for his horse and his gratitude for having a loving woman in his life. He boasts of his spurs and his new pair of jeans, but he also values the simple things in life, such as a woman who can cook and wash. The cowboy's contentment with his lot in life is evident in the line "if I die I ain't a-gonna cry," which suggests he has found fulfillment in his love and his work as a cowboy.
The song "Wringle Wrangle" was written by Stan Jones, a songwriter and actor who is best known for writing the classic cowboy ballad "Ghost Riders in the Sky." It was recorded by Fess Parker for the 1957 Disney film "Westward Ho, the Wagons!" Parker, who was also an actor and played Davy Crockett in a series of Disney films, had a successful career as a singer of Western-themed songs. "Wringle Wrangle" became one of his most popular songs, and the catchy refrain has been used in numerous television shows and movies as a symbol of the Wild West.

My dad used to sing this song all the time. He has alzheimers now and doesn't know who I am. I've heard about music stirring some memories so I'm gonna play him this and see what happens. Thanks for posting this song.

Been searching the internet for this for the past 10 years, finally found it! My most favorite record, I used to play the 45 rpm all the time when I was around 3 to 5, which would be in the very early 1960's

This tune was in my head for over 50 years (I'm 57 years old) All I remembered was the tune & the words "Wringle Wrangle" A year or so ago I discovered & heard the song for the first time in over 50 years & found out to my surprise it was recorded in 1956 by Fess Parker. God Bless Fess Parker, (Davy Crockett & Daniel Boone & the movie "Smoky") he was a role model to me & many others years ago. Thank you for posting this song!!!!

Wow.. haha this is such a nice song.
Heard this on WJIB in Boston and thought this was nice.
Also just reminds me of how different the world was back then. And how bad it is now in 2021 and getting worse.
God help us...😥🙏
