Y volver volver volver
A tus brazos como ayer
Llegaría hasta donde estés
Yo se perder yo se perder
Quiero volver volver volver

Y volver volver volver
A tus brazos como ayer
Llegaría hasta donde estés

Yo se perder yo se perder
Quiero volver volver volver

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Film.de's song Volver express a passionate desire to return to a past love. The singer acknowledges that the relationship ended some time ago, but he cannot shake the feeling that he belongs with his former partner. He describes his current state as being "on the path to madness" and tormented by his longing to reunite with his lost love. Despite the pain of their separation, the singer acknowledges that his heart knows best and he submits to its desires. Throughout the song, he repeats the refrain "volver volver volver" which translates to "to return, to return, to return". He expresses his determination to return to his love's arms and willingly concede to losing everything else.

The tone of the song is one of yearning and desperation. The singer's emotions are heightened - he is all-consumed by the thought of reuniting with his lover. The lyrics may resonate with anyone who has experienced a difficult breakup or longed to rekindle a past romance. The repetition of the phrase "volver" emphasizes the singer's conviction and emphasizes his need to return to his former partner no matter the circumstances.

This movie made Penelope Cruz the first Spanish woman ever to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

@snifferdogx

Can I just say that I'm not from Spain, but I am from Eastern Europe. And I know the women in this film. They raised me. And I love the women who raised me, as much as I love the characters in this film. Almodovar is one my most favourite directors, and this is one of my favourite of his films. It's not just a movie. It's a life experience.

Beautiful words! I am from Barcelona, but I was also raised by these women. And I love them.

I don't care if this is not her real voice.. Penelope ''sings'' beautifully in this scene. What a great acting, such purity, passion and intelligence beyond words.. without any doubt, one of the best actress of the modern world! Love her! I've watched her too in All About My Mother and Vicky, superb!

I love all the films by Pedro Almodovar. Really can't say which one of them is the best. They are all superb, the story, the actors, the music, the atmosphere, the camerawork, everything...let alone directing on top of all. I feel so happy while seeing such a splendid craftmanship!!!

@terencereyes696

I'm not a huge fan of soap-opera kind of movies but Pedro Almodovar always knocks it out of the park when he does these genre films. I thought after watching it that the movie was funny, sweet, and quite metaphorical. The opening scene with the widows in the windy cemetery I thought really summarizes everything about the movie.
