1) Originally from Houston, Texas, Paige Finlay (performing as FINLAY) spent the last seven years studying entertainment/music production in Southern California, where her love for pop music exploded, building life-long friendships and relationships in the Music Industry. Her energetic sound, vibrant lyrics and stage presence make her one of 2017's emerging young artists.
2) Finlay is a five piece indie rock band based in East London, England. Finlay was formed in 1996 by school friends Adam Straw, Anamik Saha and Christopher Allison. Lorna Crabbe joined in August 1997 (two weeks before their first gig) and Giles Littleford three years later.
3) Finlay is a British singer, songwriter and musician. Raised in the small village of Everingham, with a population of less than 50, he spent his formative years surrounded by the vast, haunting Yorkshire landscape.
Immersed in isolation, but eager to explore, Finlay found creative refuge in Film, Literature and Music, and while honing his craft and developing a love for the piano, he began releasing performance videos online, amassing a small following of like-minded people.
A chance encounter with Yorkshire native and Mercury Prize/ Grammy Award winning producer, Jonathan Quarmby propelled Finlay out of his bedroom and into the historic RAK Studios in North London, where he has spent the past 18 months working alongside Jonathan to complete his debut EP, set for release Spring 2020.
Finlay’s voice is both classic and contemporary – His music could exist comfortably in most decades, as it does in our current age. This sonic sweet spot allows him to tackle complex philosophical and emotional themes through a youthful lens and an evergreen delivery.
They released a single and an EP on their own Growl Wow Records before signing with British independent label Fortuna POP! who have released their two full length albums to much critical acclaim. Kerrang! called their debut a "Ragged and Wonderful sliver of a debut", while UNCUT magazine described Finlay's sound as "heroic and inspired pop music tuned in from an unearthly frequency".
The band have become particularly known for their lo-fi aesthetic, most evident in their earlier recordings.
