Despite God's deliverance from oppression in Egypt, Israel still sinned.

Many kings and many prophets many priest just couldn't stop it
Throughout Israel's history, even leaders like kings, prophets, and priests could not halt the trend of sinfulness.

Man is so sin prone yet can't atone for our own problems
Human beings have a natural tendency towards sin, but they cannot atone for themselves through their own efforts.

Yet in the wilderness the tempted tried to get You to fall
Satan attempted to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, hoping he would falter and sin.

Three times Satan tried but got a word to resist them all
Despite Satan's persistent efforts to tempt Jesus, he resisted every time.

You overthrew the devil's power the demonic put to shame
Jesus defeated the power of the devil and demonstrated his dominion over spiritual forces.

Jesus is our high priest we've got peace cause he overcame
Jesus is our ultimate intercessor and brings us peace through his victory over sin and death.

Anyone who's in the Son died to when they hung Him on
Those who have faith in Jesus participate in his death and resurrection, dying to their old selves and being reborn through him.

Overcame when He overcame resurrected when He rose
Through Jesus Christ, we have the power to overcome sin and death and be resurrected into new life.

New creation new humanity our insanity was overthrown
Through Jesus, we become a new creation free from insanity and sinfulness.

Our Lord was tempted and tried
Just as we face temptation and trials, Jesus also endured them during his life on earth.

See the serpent with angel eyes
Satan, often depicted as a serpent, can deceive with a seemingly angelic appearance.

He saw the Christ in the wilderness
Satan recognized Jesus as the Son of God in the wilderness.

He salivated with anxious eyes
Satan eagerly sought to tempt and deceive Jesus.

He came to Him with the same tricks
Satan uses similar tactics to tempt us as he did with Jesus.

Turn this stone into bread it's been awhile since You've eaten
Satan tempted Jesus with a physical need for food, hoping to lead him to sin.

Has Your Father left You for dead?
Satan suggested that God had abandoned Jesus and did not care for him.

Is this the place the Spirit led You?
Satan questioned whether Jesus was truly following God's will by enduring temptation in the wilderness.

And all this time He hasn't fed You
Satan attempts to twist God's goodness and provision, making it seem as though he is withholding from us.

You're the messiah Son of God
Satan acknowledged Jesus as the chosen one, but sought to derail his mission.

Yet somehow He neglects You
Satan used lies to try and pervert the truth about God's love and care for Jesus.

He'll protect you
Despite Satan's efforts, we can trust in God's protection.

Throw yourself from the pinnacle of the temple
Satan tempted Jesus by urging him to test God's protection through an extreme act.

It's simple remember this is biblical
Satan twisted scripture to try and deceive Jesus, showing how important it is to have a sound understanding of biblical truth.

I came to tell you the devil lies
Flame reminds us that Satan is a liar and deceiver, and that we should be aware of his tactics.

Yes through Christ alone
Only through Jesus Christ can we find true salvation and redemption.
