Dillard was born in the 187th Street projects of Carol City, Florida. His single mother raised him and his seven sisters, some of whom sang in a local gospel group. As a teenager, Dillard worked with local rap group 2 Live Crew and formed his own amateur group with some friends called the Groundhoggz. His work with 2 Live Crew member Fresh Kid Ice attracted attention of DeVante Swing, a member of the band Jodeci. However, he was rejected by several of the major labels, so he sought many other jobs outside of music. After graduating from high school in 1998, he studied international business management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for two years and attended Barry University for two months. He returned to Florida to continue pursuing his music career after receiving a phone call from a representative of the independent label Poe Boy Entertainment. Dillard signed with Poe Boy in 2006, and as Flo Rida he began affiliating with other Florida rappers, such as Rick Ross, Trina, T-Pain, and Trick Daddy. A promotional street single entitled "Birthday", featuring Rick Ross, was his first significant release. He made his debut guest appearance with the song "Bitch I'm from Dade County" on DJ Khaled's album We the Best, which featured Trick Daddy, Trina, Rick Ross, Brisco, C-Ride, and Dre.

Freaking Out
Flo Rida Lyrics

Too many drinks, too many rounds
I'm in the clouds, no coming down
Oh my God, you got me in, and we can't get out
Eenie meenie minie mo
It's too easy I'm freaking out
You are the medic, I know your anatomy
I throw a salary up when you strattle me
When there's a fallacy, send in the calvary
Had an ass like give me a break
I give you some of that Kit-Kat baring
Catch it all on video tape
And play back the highlights tomorrow
Too much alcohol
Too many women every night
It's a replay
What's happening?
Oh, my God, I think I'm freaking out
Too many drinks, too many rounds
I'm in the clouds, no coming down
(Oh dude I'm totally freaking out)
I plan to get white boy wasted
The feeling in my face took a vacation
A lot of Goose so you know I ain't chasing
The room spinning ing ing ing
And I'm done
Shot like shot, bang bang, that's a gun
I shoulda auditioned for Hangover 1, 2, 3
Oh no, bartender said, you want a drink, oh no
Promised I never ever ever ever drink again
That's it, drinks, so I will sip again
Wake up, headache, throwing up, slurring
Sex on the beach, in my wet willy thermal
Too much alcohol
Too many women every night
It's a replay
What's happening?
Oh, my God, I think I'm freaking out
Too many drinks, too many rounds
I'm in the clouds, no coming down
(Oh dude I'm totally freaking out)
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, my God, I think I'm freaking out
Too many drinks, too many rounds
I'm in the clouds, no coming down
(Oh dude I'm totally freaking out)
The lyrics to "Freaking Out" by Flo Rida and StayC Reign explore the experience of a night where too much drinking and partying has taken over, causing the singer to feel like they are losing control. They express their feeling of being in the clouds with no coming down, and how the alcohol they've consumed is leading them to make choices that they otherwise wouldn't. The lyrics describe a situation where the singer becomes involved in a physical relationship with someone they are attracted to, acknowledging that the other person knows their "anatomy" well. The lyrics also suggest that this experience feels like something out of a movie, something that should win an Academy Award.
The lyrics capture the sense of reckless abandon that can come with partying and drinking, the feeling of being invincible and living life in the moment. They also suggest the inevitable consequences of this behavior - a next-day hangover, regret, and difficulties remembering the events of the night before. Overall, the lyrics to "Freaking Out" are a reflection of the wild and chaotic nights, a call to enjoy the present moment but also a warning about the dangers of overindulgence.

This song is a little bizarre, but kind of addictive. It's a catchy song to dance to if you feel down or you're just in the mood to be silly.

I think this is the first flo rida song where he actually has a presence on it... Usually you just ignore the fact that he's there on the verse... but for some reason this song... works. I like it.
