Flow Dan started as a jungle MC in the late nineties before starting Roll Deep with Wiley. While at Roll Deep he has featured on all the main singles and featured on all three major CD releases: Rules & Regulations, In At The Deep End which has sold 85,000 copies to date and Return of The Big Money Sound. His first chart success came from the appearance on the UK Top 20 smash FWD Riddim.
Flow Dan is probably best known for his collaboration with The Bug on the albums London Zoo (2008) and Angels & Devils (2014) and various singles. In particular the track "Skeng" has become somewhat of an anthem in the Dubstep scene.
In 2009 he released the album Original Dan.

Sky couple shots out the semi
Flex like Machine Gun Kelly
Military headgear, leather gloves ready
Dutty when the big dogs turn up
Don't say a word, just shut up
Nobody make no loose talk
Everyting done by sun up
We circle the ends anytime
Mi no mek duppy inna broad daylight
Rise up from under the dirt like Satan
And run up on a pagan, Horror Show style
Yeah, Horror Show style
Run up on a pagan, never show smile
Dem pussy never know it was a badman ting
Till they run up on the nozzle of the big 45
Yo, big 45
Run up on the nozzle of the big 45
Try now you're surrounded by demons
I bet you any money somebody ah go sky
We circle the ends anytime
Mi no mek duppy inna broad daylight
Rise up from under the dirt like Satan
And run up on a pagan, Horror Show style

Big 45
Flowdan's track "Horror Show Style" is a tense and gritty depiction of the rough realities of life on the streets. The song gains momentum as the rapper, who is often hailed as one of the UK Grime genre's godfathers, describes the violent techniques and weapons used by the gangsters in his circle as they approach an enemy in their area. Flowdan paints a dark picture where respect is earned by killings, and the only law is that of the streets. He portrays himself as an imposing figure, who never backs down from a confrontation, revealing the sword-like nature of the Jamaican and UK gangsters that he sits at the top of.
In the opening verse of "Horror Show Style," we witness Flowdan's self-confidence as he prepares for battle, arming himself with a pistol and an outfit in military gear. The second verse suggests he is a ruthless killer, dragging his targets up from beneath the earth to execute them, and while he admits there are demons encircling him, it is the enemy who is doomed to fail against him. The chorus is repetitive, highlighting the idea of the Horror Show Style, in which vicious and bloody killings take place.
The middle part of the song deals with various facts or aspects of life in the city, from the vehicles used by gangs for 'big dog' status, to parties rocked by crowds, to weapons and drugs, with Flowdan paying tribute to a world of violent conflict and illicit, underground enterprise. It all culminates in a reminder of the gun "big 45" - an explicit warning that there is always a danger that someone might "go sky" - meet their maker.
