Deadline
Foreboding Ether Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Time, granting us another crisis
Still persevering!
Our circumstance has a habit,
of being inconsistent.
Our dedication, being tested
Only makes us stronger

Helpless when we stood there,
hoping all the people don't notice
It's the best that could be done,
given our lack of practices

Why is it every time we have to meet a deadline
we have to face another obstacle,
write another track, because a set list played to no-one
is still worth writing!

Our progression,
prevailed through times of pure upheaval
and its all that got us here in this instance
All the scrapes we've been through prove
we're here for the duration.

Determined to do something now that
we finally have found our feet
Driven past the process of elimination
got a chance to keep it going

Conjuring up a formula
trying to piece it together
Scratching my head profusely
like I'm confined to long words
Thought too much getting cryptic
No idea what I'm getting at
Start from scratch or resuscitate?
like the crowd even notice.

The problem we've found is
Blaggin, blaggin becomes part of the process
Whether you like it or not
Worse not to of attempted than to fail

Determined to do something now that
we finally have found our feet
Driven past the process of elimination
got a chance to keep it going

The problem we've found is
Blaggin, blaggin becomes part of the process
Whether you like it or not
Worse not to of attempted than to fail x2

(Well we will see...)
(We learnt from the Deep-end)

Breaking the mould can tricky
Especially when you get in the trend of just winging it
Back in the day we just wrote about murder
and all conceived ways to survive the apocalypse
Confused statements
Feels better writing about something you care about,
No-one can relate to a zombie invasion

Breaking the mould can tricky
Especially when you get in the trend of just winging it
Back in the day we just wrote about slaughter
and all conceived ways to survive the apocalypse

Feels better to write about something you care about,

The problem we've found is Blaggin, blaggin becomes part of the process Whether you like it or not Worse not to of attempted than to fail x2
Again, we recognize that pretending is becoming part of the process, but it is still better to try and fail than to not try at all.

(Well we will see...) (We learnt from the Deep-end)
We are uncertain about whether we will succeed, but we have learned from previous experiences.

Breaking the mould can tricky Especially when you get in the trend of just winging it Back in the day we just wrote about murder and all conceived ways to survive the apocalypse Confused statements Feels better writing about something you care about, No-one can relate to a zombie invasion
Breaking away from the norm can be challenging, especially when we are in the habit of improvising. In the past, we wrote about violent topics and surviving disasters, but now we are struggling to find a topic we care about. Writing about zombies does not have the same impact, and it's better to write about something that resonates with us and others.

Breaking the mould can tricky Especially when you get in the trend of just winging it Back in the day we just wrote about slaughter and all conceived ways to survive the apocalypse Confused statements Feels better to write about something you care about, No-one can relate to a zombie invasion
Once again, we understand that it's tough to stray from our usual style, especially when we tend to make up our music as we go. We used to write about violent themes and disaster planning, but now we're confused about what to write. We feel better when we write about things we care about, and writing about zombies won't resonate with anyone.
