The way you way you do it
You like my drug but girl I can't abuse it
Baby girl I need distance
Time away from your image
No phone call you say I've missing
Now you the one reminiscing
I need some distance
I need to
I need to distance from you yeh
All this time you kept me high
Got me on some trip I don't know why
I'm in way too deep I got no time
I need help with my mind I cannot lie
Yeh yeh
And I need to
So do you too
Way you talk and walk ain't usual
Lately I've been doing up late nights
Seeing stars I'm tripping of these break lights
You drive me crazy
The way you way you do it
You like my drug but girl I can't abuse it
And I can't keep going I'm trying
Fighting for piece of my mind yeh
My mind yeh
Know you gone hide me away
Keep me stuck in your ways like
I know I said its okay
Because I do the things that they won't do
And that's why you around girl I swear its true yeh
I'm hooked of your waistline
And I need to take time
Yeh yeh
Sleepless in daylight
Girl I don't know about you
I need some distance girl and I know that we made plans
You got me falling to deep and I need a new way out
I'm falling
You drive me crazy
The way you way you do it
You like my drug but girl I can't abuse it
Baby girl I need distance
Time away from your image
No phone call you say I've missing
Now you the one reminiscing
Oh no
I need some distance
I need to
I need to distance from you yeh
All this time you kept me high
Got me on some trip I don't know why
I'm in way too deep I got no time
I need help with my mind I cannot lie
Yeh yeh
And I need to
So do you too
Way you talk and walk ain't usual
Lately I've been doing up late nights
Seeing stars I'm tripping of these break lights
The song "Distance" by Forever and a Day begins with the singer crying out for help from a place of isolation. As they shout, it seems like they are all alone and nobody is answering their call for help. The waves grow tall and the darkness is falling, and the singer is waiting for someone to come and save them. In their desperation, they wish for everything to disappear, and they begin to fade away in this world that seems to have abandoned them.
In the chorus, the singer uses the metaphor of a shipwreck to describe their situation. They feel lost in the vast expanse of the sea, and nobody is coming to rescue them. The bridge of the song comes in with the line "Taken by the tide", emphasizing the feeling of being powerless against the forces of nature. In the end, the singer is staring up at the sky and hoping for a plane to come and save them.
Overall, the song portrays a sense of hopelessness and despair, with the singer feeling completely alone and helpless in a situation beyond their control. The use of imagery and metaphor make the lyrics even more powerful, evoking feelings of being lost at sea and the desire for rescue.

if you and someone you grew up with had an awkward little beef
but he lost his will to breathe before you two could sit, talk and really speak
would it taunt you in your dreams
or would it haunt you in your sleep?
tomorrow isn’t promised but i squashed it when i seen him
i took a look at my life, had to bring some kinda calm to it
‘bout to lose it - voices screaming “don’t do it!”
it’s like ‘01, ‘02
‘bout the year that High Exalted dropped
and Dead Ringer hit the shops
instead, i lost some friends
point no fingers at the frauds
but if you don’t see them around me you can figure who they are
true indeed i’ve seen it all before
