Forevertree's name is inspired by Psalms 1:3, "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."
Forevertree have been around since the late 90's in some form or another...having seen a tremendous positive response with their first cd "Turning"....endorsements from Jackson guitars, Seymour Duncan pickups and more...the band quickly started touring Canada in support of that CD gaining fans across the country......the band came off the road and started to work on their next CD "Alien"....at the time Forevertree went through some personal changes and "Alien" was put on hold.
Fast forward to 2009, with many avenues and situations explored one of the original members(Geoff) had felt in his heart that it was time to see if Forevertree could be once more!...Geoff, Dwayne and Jeff were back with new Drummer Ron Mellegers it was time for Forvertree to rise!....or was it?....unfortunately Jeff Miller was unable to commit anymore due to his current position as guitarist for Blissed. through an onslot of possible new guitarists and auditions Forevertree came to a halt......but not for long!!!
Long time friend and fellow musician Sean McGowan was eventually offered the spot as new guitarist for Forvertree, being in contact off and on over the years Geoff and Sean still had history together and lo and behold FOREVERTREE was reborn! Forvertree finally completed "Alien" in the year 2009 after almost a decade......fans eagerly gobbled up the new cd....they had been waiting a long time for this!!!. For the last half of the year Forevertree saw some amazing things happening within and around the band, Being on the NUMBER 1 Spot for over 3 mnths on the Christian hard rock radio station and finishing the year(2009) as the third most requested band of 2009 above such groups as skillet, flyleaf, Brian Head Welch (ex-Korn) this was an amazing accomplishment....not to mention being played on as many radio stations as possible in the states....with radio tracking in Nashville, opening for Stryper in Toronto september of 2009 and much more.
The new single "higher" has just been launched to radio and is progressively climbing the charts..Forvertree, now back better and harder than ever have begun production on their newest cd "ZOMBIE" with all the new members and are very excited and hopeful for the future. With "ZOMBIE" being more aggressive and in your face the band has also maintained the commercial side of the music always maintaining and uplifting their positive message......FOREVERTREE a new and fresh experience for the masses!!

In a way that mattered
Till I was battered
All I heard was laughter
Smiling through my fears
Choking on my tears
I'd picked up those pieces after
Playing the part, just like a game
Remember
He will remember you
He will remember me
He will remember everyone who's calling out to Him
Tested and temptedBeaten and arrested
Testifiying to the OneStaring down the barrel of a gun
Standing in Your glory
For all eternityStanding on Your promisesAnd living in Your word
Remember
He will remember you
He will remember me
He will remember everyone who's calling out to Him
The lyrics of Forevertree's song 49:15 describe the singer's journey of finding solace in God after experiencing struggle and pain. The singer begins by expressing their initial disinterest in God and how their faith only became relevant after being battered by life's hardships. The laughter they heard could be interpreted as the mocking of their struggles by others or their own self-doubt that may have questioned the existence of a higher power during their difficult times. However, the singer's resilience and strength through their tears and fears show their efforts to pick up the pieces of their life. The singer notes how they may have played the part of a strong person during their troubles, but never truly addressed their pain until now.
As the song progresses, the singer shifts their focus towards God and how He will remember everyone who calls out to Him. The lyrics suggest how being tested and tempted is an inevitable part of life, but through it all, it is our testimony of God's guidance that saves us. The verse about standing in God's glory for eternity highlights the singer's certainty in their faith and how they have found peace and security through God's promises and His word.
