A singer-songwriter with a background in punk rock and a classically trained cellist, the original duo came together one serendipitous summer to create a sound that defied their personal conventions. The band plays upon their differences by highlighting their unique styles in songs that range from folk-pop tunes to bluesy ballads.
Foxxhound is set to release their third and most ambitious album, The Devil You Know, on June 25th, 2013. The record was produced by Anthony Arvizu (Elliott Smith, Ryan Adams, Paul McCartney) and mastered at Capital Records by Kevin Barley. For Daniel, The Devil You Know was about “letting go and inviting more people in.” The band did this in a literal sense by adding drummer Ron McGill, redefining Foxxhound as a trio and giving them the opportunity to add another dimension to their ever-evolving sound.

Ain't That A Shame
Foxxhound Lyrics
That night was wild, like a child you told me things with such an innocence
To hold you, and scold you, and love you in the morning's twilight
All in my head, left for dead, like a wounded wolf without its pack
I'd take you, then break you, cause that's what you loved about me
It's such a shame, to throw it all away
Tell me what do you do when there's nobody but you left to blame
All your girlfriends know, your boyfriend knows I'm the one, son of a gun
Who shot where you thought you were bullet proof
We were sleeping in my bed, left for dead, like a beautiful fleeting dream
I'd take you, then break you cause that's what you loved about me
It's such a shame, to throw it all away
Tell me what do you do when there's nobody but you left to blame
It's such a shame, to throw it all away
Where do you go when nobody knows you that way
Cause in my darkest thoughts I hold you tight towards the light
But you'd rather be casually dying
And I just don't think you see
Just how beautiful you are to me
All my loving, all my kissing, you don't know what you'll be missing
Oh girl oh girl, ooh wee
And I just don't think you see
To hold you, and scold you, and love you in the morning's twilight
All in my head, left for dead, like a wounded wolf without its pack
I'd take you, then break you, cause that's what you loved about me
It's such a shame, to throw it all away
Tell me what do you do when there's nobody but you left to blame
All your girlfriends know, your boyfriend knows I'm the one, son of a gun
