Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Tables Will Turn" by Foxy Brown and Baby Cham are filled with bravado as the two rappers assert their dominance over their opponents, specifically targeting women who try to copy her style or take her position. Foxy Brown asserts that her flow is too hot and too dope for other women to compete, and that her success with Baby Cham is due to their unique Yard-Hip Hop sound. The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "What a day when the tables will turn," hinting at the possibility of revenge for those who have wronged them.

Throughout the song, Foxy Brown uses a range of stylistic choices to further emphasize her dominance, such as interjecting with "Ugh, Ehh, Uh!" and "HY-YAH!" The lyrics feature a mix of Jamaican Patois and American slang, blending the two cultures together to create a unique sound that Foxy Brown and Baby Cham both represent.

One particularly interesting aspect of the song is the mixing of gender dynamics. While Brown asserts her dominance as a female rapper in a male-dominated industry, she also uses masculine language and imagery to further assert her dominance, such as referring to herself as a "nigga" and referring to her opponents as "bitches". The song also plays with power dynamics in relationships, with Brown asserting that she and Baby Cham will take over the world together.

@@m.antoinette3410 I think the problem.is artists are treated as comodities not as 'artists'.
the minute an artist does something that is not commericially successful for the record company, the record company is quick to drop them, shelve them or shift the focus to a new artist who doesn't have any 'baggage'.

Beyonce WANTS to be famous so she and her team made sound business decisions while she was building her career.
Not everyone has their father (who is an established business man) behind their careers.

even artist who were once successful as soon as they make what is deemed an unmonitary move are immediately treat like a liability or a risk by the record company.

and it's worst for black artist cause matthew knowles say black artists always get smaller budgets than white artists.
