Although not formally glorified (canonized), he is celebrated by some Orthodox Christians as a saint in iconography, liturgy, and prayer.

While studying under Alan Watts at the American Academy of Asian Studies after graduating from Pomona College in 1956, Eugene discovered the writings of René Guenon. Through Guenon's writings, Eugene was inspired to seek out an authentic, grounded spiritual faith tradition. Gregerson, a practicing Russian Orthodox Christian at the time, introduced Eugene to Orthodoxy. Just as Gregerson was choosing to abandon his Orthodoxy, Eugene was inspired to learn more about the faith. This culminated in Eugene's decision to enter the Church, being received into the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia through chrismation in 1962.

I have found at this point as a beginner that repentance and forgiveness and love as an eternal round repeat. Applied to all worldly affairs in measure as simple solution. And in that when I can remember, a seamless day unfolds. Except for some spiritual battles that I remain clueless as to their exact nature, but in those moments I call out for grace from God. And the Jesus prayer. And that works almost immediately. Which still surprises me.

I have a copy of the Orthodox Prayer Book and try and read the Morning and Evening Prayers when I can. No one told me to do this, I just “felt like it”. @Orthodox Wisdom I live in Phoenix, Az. Around the Scottsdale area so there are a few places to visit. I guess the first step is to visit and speak to a leader of the church. I was raised in a Protestant/Quaker setting so many concepts like iconography and the Virgin Mary were considered ideology. I am considering buying an orthodoxy study bible even though I read KJV. How long do y put think it would take to go to seminary before being baptized into the church? Sorry I have so many things to ask.
