Between the release of her debut album My Paper Heart and its follow-up Hundred More Years, Battistelli married Christian band percussionist Matthew Goodwin and gave birth to her first child, Matthew Elijah. According to the Hundred More Years songfacts Battistelli chose to title her sophomore record after the track "Hundred More Years" because the tune's subject matter of a couple falling in love and having their first child mimiced her own life. Hundred More Years was released on March 1, 2011.
Francesca Battistelli is no stranger to the stage. Raised by parents immersed in the arts and Broadway, she developed a love of music, theatre, and performance at a young age. But instead of using these talents for applause and accolades, Francesca prefers to point people to something beyond herself --towards hope in Christ. Her soulful piano-pop sound resembles a blend of her music interests -- jazz, rock, gospel and R&B -- woven beautifully together with themes of trust and risk-taking. In a noisy world filled with sounds and images, we cry out for an authentic voice--one who is not afraid to speak truth and purpose to a generation. In singer/songwriter Francesca Battistelli, we have found that voice.
Worth It

Love's not convenient
But I know love will change your life
Love takes sacrifice
Love cuts like a knife
Sometimes love will make you cry
Love's not easy
But it's worth it
Love is a hunger
But love won't leave you empty
See it's the language of the heart
Love can steal your pride
But love won't let you hide
It takes everything you've got
Love's not easy
But it's worth it
What you gonna do when the bottom falls out
And you're left with nothing but your fear and your doubt to hold to?
Who will hold you?
Where you gonna run when it's all on the line
And you're looking for someone to save your life?
To save your life
Love can hear you
Love can heal you
If you let it inside
Oh, remember now
Love's not easy
But it's worth it
What you gonna do when the bottom falls out
And you're left with nothing but your fear and your doubt to hold to?
Who's gonna hold you?
Oh, where you gonna run when it's all on the line
And you're looking for someone to save your life?
To save your life
Love can hear you
I know love will heal you
If you will let it inside
Oh, remember now
Love's not easy
But it's worth it
Francesca Battistelli's song 'Worth It' is a song about love and its sacrifices. The lyrics are telling the listener that love is not just a feeling, it's so much more than that. It's not always a convenient emotion, but it is capable of changing your life in ways that go beyond your imagination.
The lyrics go on to describe how love takes sacrifice and sometimes can even cut like a knife. Love can be difficult, but in the end, it's worth it. The chorus of the song repeats this message that love is not easy, but it's worth it.
The second verse of the song talks about how love is a hunger that cannot leave you empty. It's the language of the heart, and it can even make you lose your pride. Love takes everything you've got, but it won't let you hide. The song's bridge highlights the importance of love when everything else falls apart. It asks who will hold you when you're at your lowest, and where will you run when you're looking for someone to save your life.
Overall, 'Worth It' is a beautiful ballad that touches on the complex emotions of love and its many sacrifices.

So true loves not easy, but it’s worth it! I am opening up myself to the possibility of love again with someone that I have cared deeply about since 2014 and loved since 2015. He is opening up again too.
